What an awful experience this was in September! The room was ok, although no milk in our room, 1 towel for 2 & no one around to help. No one arrived to cook breakfast, the bar wasn't open & dinner service was non-existent. On top of that a guy downstairs returned drunk & literally kicked his door in when he had trouble with his key.The Badger, around the corner served a great meal & apparently do a good breakfast.This was a shocking experience.

We booked to stay 2 nights bed and breakfast. On arrival no one around. Luckily a young lady appeared. She shared we should have had information about a self checkin. She shared the code to enter the building. The stairs to the room smelt of stale smoke. They were dirty. The bedding was clean and nicely made up. Only 1 large towel. The shower has black mould in it. The shower door handle and toilet flush button were broken. The bedside light is held together with sellotape. We had to search someone out to get the WiFi pass word. No milk available with the drinks tray in the bedroom. We were shown to gain entry via a gate at the side, this led past what is gest described as a " dumping ground". We learnt on the morning we were leaving there was a side gate leading from a car park. Breakfast was served hot, no cereal, fruit, fruit juice offered. The cups, tables and chairs were dirty. On the 2nd morning we went downstairs for breakfast, there was noone around at all. My husband looked in the kitchen ( he stated he wasn't sure he wanted to eat there given the cleanliness of the kitchen). I went all around the building and met the lady who cleans the bedrooms. She went upstairs to find the person who should have been cooking breakfast. She shared she couldn't find him. She offered to make us a cup of tea, we declined this offer. She was very apologetic about the situation. I would not recommend staying here at all.

Just dire! Shockingly bad! Run down, dilapidated, no exterior lighting, poor communication, a lack of basic customer service. Other than the bedroom, which was spacious, the whole place feels unloved and abandoned. Stay there at your peril! Definitely do not stay as a lone woman!Noteworthy details: Worth noting that the bedroom, whilst apparently clean and reasonably well furnished and eqipped, might have an outbreak of bedbugs!

Once again the reviews before me are the self entitled playing God brigade. I booked this through booking. com. Bogdan was very helpful and messaged me with the access code. Very easy to get in even late at night and I was greeted by a friendly neighbourhood cat, who knew not to come in. Very atmospheric house. Room was everything you'd need, unless you are a serial whinger. Very ample tea and coffee, proper wardrobe... not these awful hanging rails, a fan in the room, a choice of nice mirrors, hairdryer very easy to find in wardrobe, information of how to connect to Internet on landing... this is not required anyway, just go to your device available networks as no password needed... honestly this isn't rocket science. Nice big shower, I've never been a fan of raindrop showers but this easy to control with clear instructions. Extremely comfy bed and I had nice outlook of garden. Garden nice as is bar with young happy staff. Very flexible breakfast times and cooked to order. Bogdan very generous and friendly, will leave a direct number incase anything is needed. Cleaner very efficient. Room super clean. Very lovely place in good location for me to catch up with friends. Lovely walks around and a co op opposite. Also a local butchers. Can't fault the place. Some people just look for faults as they want to bring drama and reality tv into real life... sorry guys you will never be happy doing so. I woke up with a happy vibe.

Lovely local pub, the pizza is well worth a try and definitely doesn't hurt the pocket, beer is well priced also. Staff friendly and nice enclosed rear garden.

For a one night stay it was satisfactory. Communication with the property was difficult before the visit but once you got hold of someone they were nice. There was no key for me upon arrival so I had to contact the staff. If you prefer a place where there are staff on site all the time, this isn't the place for you. Ensuite was incredibly small, the shower door was broken and the toilet seat had been replaced by one much smaller and fitted poorly. There had obviously been damp damage. The water/tea/coffee in the room was on a par with places like days Inn. The bed was comfy enough. We couldn't find a hairdryer. The breakfast was very average, with some items incurring a supplement. The parking is great

Great friendly hotel, great service. Our room is spotless and really big with character. Deep bath with good toiletries. Dinner, Italian style was excellent, looking forward to breakfast!

The room was clean and comfy and the breakfast was delicious. The staff have been very friendly and welcoming. We've really enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend. Great price, easy (free) parking, breakfast included. I would definitely stay here again.

The place was chaotic and our room disgraceful. We booked The Kings Room, with a bath and when we went in to the bathroom water was running and the taps to the bath were broken and leaking and did not work. The toilet seat was hanging off, the heating didn't work and the place was just about clean. One cannot believe that a cleaner thought that room was acceptable for letting! The very kind couple who had stepped in said they were trying to turn the hotel/bar around but it needs shutting for a few weeks, sorting out properly and then relaunching! Breakfast was however good.
