Excellent food. Great service. Lovely atmosphere. Great cakes to take out. Added bonus of being central to a number of Pokémon stops.

We called here for lunch when we visited Stow-on-the-Wold on our way home from our holiday. Compared to the tourist trap rip off catering establishments in Stow, Huffkins was okay so we ventured in. Staff were very friendly and helpful and we were cheered up by the delightful, if not a little eccentric, young lady - and I mean that in a nice way - who served us. We both had a beef pasty which were most enjoyable. That was the first pasty I had eaten for about ten years since suffering very badly from food poisoning from a chain pasty restaurant in Cambridge that has since closed down. After being suitably refreshed we had a walk round Stow before continuing our journey home.

Excellent cakes and coffee. The Belgian bun was delicious but best recommendation is the warmed lardy cake. It was lush!

Nice little tea room but service wasn't very good, forgot one of the orders, one had egg overcooked another under cooked.

We booked afternoon tea for 8 at the Stow cafe as part of a hen weekend. It was very busy and the lady greeting us was visibly stressed and quite short with customers who were getting confused about whether or not to seat themselves, as it was taking such a long time for them to be greeted. It wasn’t very welcoming. The afternoon tea itself was really nice and good value. A couple of our party asked for modifications and they were all sorted with ease. Our server was also very friendly which was nice.Unfortunately it went downhill a bit again when we waited 25 minutes for the bill and to pay…I got the impression that the cafe has become far too big, staff clearly couldn’t keep up with the demand and it made the experience not as nice as it could have been. I think if they took less customers it would be far more special.

Amazing lardy cake!!

The young lady serving us was amazing, polite and friendly. The building is nice but that's where it ends unfortunately. The two Mochas we had were small for the cost and didn't really taste very nice. Certainly not enough chocolate in them. Then when we left there were hardly any pastries on sale and what was there looked unappealing and costly.

When will the owners realise this place is the biggest pile of rubbish ever…….run by idiots didn’t even make it to a table FIRSTLY GET RID OF THE BLOODY SIGN AT THE FRONT THAT SAYS “PLEASE WAIT HERE TO BE SERVED” THEN SECONDLY TELL YOUR WAITRESSES TO STOP LYING TO CUSTOMERS TO WAIT AND BE SERVED WHEN IN FACT YOU HAVE TO ORDER AT THE COUNTER……….. (after leaving and reading the awfully honest reviews thank goodness!) Your waiting staff are completely useless never going or recommending this ‘Huffkins’ anywhere ever again hope this place disappears. (NOTE TO OWNERS: don’t reply to my message, I don’t care, just get a grip your shop is a disgrace, no wonder the country is a mess, can’t even run a bloody coffee shop this country)

My reason for writing this review, it to commend the wonderful waitress that served us, think it was Layla, She brightened our day with her gorgeous smile and friendly chat. Wishing her very well for her future xxx

Very nice but a little expensive ?

Unfortunately overpriced and quite bland food. You also have to pay on order. Sausages £2.50 each of which tasted like someone nipped up to Tesco and purchased standard pack sausages.Should be locally sourced sausages from a farm not locally sourced from the nearest supermarket. Won’t be returning!
