Outstanding seafood restaurant - really delicious and fresh food. Great service too.

Busy little fish restaurant in the heart of Nailsworth, efficient serving staff.

Thanks so much for a lovely night. We came as a big party of 13. It was a very thoughtful touch to produce a separate menu for the vegans amongst us. The waiting staff were remarkable in the way they dealt with such a large party. The food was served quickly and was amazing. It was my mother's 80th and the staff sang happy birthday and presented her with a cake. All in all a thoroughly enjoyable evening for our whole family. Thank you!

Food, ambience and service absolutely excellent. I had skate wing and it was different to the normal flat wing, this was like a steak. Simply delicious.

I just feel the need to leave another review based on a very good experience. Would actually book another weekend away so I can visit this place. Extremely

No one wants a fishmonger to wrongly accuse someone of stealing, but this place does. The food isnt great and the fish wasnt even fresh. Waste of money and

Nice atmosphere and quick service were the good points. My main issue was the size of my portion of food (the veggie option) that was very small and poor value for money. Overall our meal was expensive and we won’t be revisiting.

No idea how this place has so many good reviews. We were greeted by the stench of rotten fish… which made it hard to eat the meal. The food was bland and under seasoned . Very disappointing when you are paying good money for food, maybe they had an off day.

Fish itself was frsh, service was good, cooking however a little underwhelming.

We ate here last Saturday for my wife’s birthday. It was busy but the service was great and excellent food. It was so tasty I had three courses which is unusual for me. I had the arancini, monkfish and rounded it off with a sticky toffee pudding. A very nice meal.

We with friends had the ‘fixed price’ lunch at 3 courses for £29.50. My starter good, however the main course which was otherwise well prepared, suffered by being delivered on a cold plate with the"hot" fish on top of a cold salad. When it came to dessert we were told that the crumble, the only hot option on the fixed price menu, was finished and would be replaced by a parfait, a cold desert. I asked if in the circumstances I could have the sticky toffee pudding as an alternative, as this was priced the same on the a la carte as the crumble. I was told ‘no’ and that I would be charged the full a la carte price; after some discussion they reluctantly offered a half portion of the sticky toffee pudding. I thought this rather petty. We have eaten at Williams many times and felt this treatment showed a lack of appreciation of their customers.

The restaurant is only open for dinner on Fridays and Saturdays so I advise booking. The oysters were excellent whereas both our starters were lacking in flavour and disappointed. None came with any bread, that was an extra cost. The best part of the meal was the fish main course, well prepared and cooked fish though I was puzzled by my accompaniment, the giant couscous tasted more like fregola and didn't go well. The cheese board was testament to the excellent range of cheeses sold in the food hall during the day but the coffee afterwards was over-priced. The wine list had a good range of wines ideal for the meals and was quite reasonable in price. There was also a wide range of soft drinks available. It looked like there were more serving staff than needed, a common phenomenon in British restaurants. Service was friendly and pleasant but could be improved.
