After a long, wet walk around the common and surrounding villages we were very pleased to get such great food and friendly service today. Beer was great too. We had pork roasts, and the sticky toffee pudding and treacle tart. Warm pub, proper portions (yay, veg!!), sensible prices, and lovely staff. Will recommend to others ?

Perfectly cooked, very tasty, huge portions. Seriously, only get a large kebab if you can eat a lot. The kofte is nice and juicy, not dry at all. The chicken shish is also moist and portions are so generous. We unfortunately couldn't finish ours so next time I'm just going for a medium.

Thanks so much for a lovely night. We came as a big party of 13. It was a very thoughtful touch to produce a separate menu for the vegans amongst us. The waiting staff were remarkable in the way they dealt with such a large party. The food was served quickly and was amazing. It was my mother's 80th and the staff sang happy birthday and presented her with a cake. All in all a thoroughly enjoyable evening for our whole family. Thank you!

We were first time visitors today for lunch. As soon as we walked in, the two staff members who were there were incredibly friendly and welcoming. Unfortunately I didn't catch their names, they were both quite young! The service they gave us was excellent, they even took the time to interact with my 2 year old which he loved! Food was also lovely! Great experience, thank youKid-friendliness: Really attentive, got us a high chair without us having to ask, and brought colouring over for him! Even let him help wipe tables at one time which he really loved!

I’ve always used this business to get chips on a night out. McDonald level but better, quality. Friendly staff always ready to help and put a smile on your face. Even at your lowest. Really respect the grind, especially given the reviews. Don’t believe bad reviews I’m not a fan of the entire menu but I’m not going to tell anyone else about being wrong when they are the chef.Vegetarian options: If you’re vegan, vegetarian or flexible it is possible to get really good quality food for a fraction of McDonalds, in bigger quantities. I’m not sure of all the offerings, however they are perfectly reasonable about your ideological beliefs and preferences. It’s not your regular business that sells ribs and don’t do an amazing salads, things like knowing not to overcook sweet corn due to the skin. Genuinely impressive attitude towards quality.Dietary restrictions: I’ve never had an issue they fry the chips separately enough a cealeoac or gf have never had a problem, I was really allergic at one point. SoKid-friendliness: Would be a great place for families with children.

Lovely hotel, the main building is stunning with a lovely bar, restaurant and terrace area. Food was very good. Gorgeous grounds and nearby canal area. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Most rooms are in an adjacent building, the decoration and quality of furniture and bathroom was good but our rooms was set below ground level with one small window so it was quite dark. Our booking was with a Virgin experience voucher which I suspect results in you having a poorer room.

The place was extremely clean and exquisite and beautiful decor, we started the meal off with fresh large puppodums with a number of different sauces on the side. When our curry’s came i around I was extremely pleased not only did it taste delicious but it was also eye candy!! I cannot recommend this restaurant enough 100 out of 10!!

Despite reading very mixed reviews my wife and I decided to eat there and make our own mind up. Great food and really nice and friendly people. They provided us with glasses for our own wine and beer (not licensed premises) , opened them and poured them for us. Nothing was too much trouble. I spoke to a couple who said that the were local , visited the Balti frequently and had nothing but praise for this establishment. Date of our visit 25/07/2023. Highly recommended.

Enjoyed a meal at the passage to India for the first time in about 15 yrs, overall experience was fine, the food adequate, service reasonable. My only complaint would be that the decor is rather dated and the lighting a little harsh. There is no liquor licence so you need to bring your own drinks. This is actually good as you could then enjoy a good bottle of wine at a sensible price.

First ever visit to Nailsworth today and me and my partner stopped here for lunch. The food was nice and cooked well (i had a small full english breakfast) and the cup of tea was good too. The staff were struggling due to them being short staffed and we did have a few delays in food (and cutlery!) being served but I'm sat here halfway through eating my 'free' mars brownie, so all is forgiven. I'd definitely reccomend this place and would come here again for another breakfast.

Went there for my birthday last night, first time,without booking a table. From outside is just like another place with green,white and red colours. But from the second you enter,the staff welcome and treat you likeVIP. Coats taken and hanged,table clean and ready to sit at it. The staff are Italians,genuinely friendly and helpful,. Drinks were served very quickly.Whilst we were waiting for the main course the waitress was around and making us relaxed and comfortable.The interior is very Italian, pictures from different places in Italy, chilies and garlic pleats hanging. The bar is small,but full of wine bottles in different colours and sizes,like in a village taverna,somewhere in Sicilia.There is accessible toilet on the ground floor. In the basement there are more tables,which reminded me of my native country Bulgaria, where the cellars are converted for eating and drinking.The atmosphere is very nice and takes you to the lands of emperors and gladiators.The food is...delicious, freshly made, and no need to wait to enjoy it.Will go back there to try the dessert menu and wines.Highly recommend the place,just go and see for yourself.

We were looking for an affordable place for dinner, and got much more.We loved the comfy atmosphere, and the really nice servers, we could tell that this was a place that locals go to often. The beer selection is nice, with all their cask beer taps ready to pour. The food was excellent, and arrived within a reasonable time from when it was ordered. We would definitely come back if we are in the area and looking for a nice place to eat and chill.Parking: Unfortunately one of the roads that Google maps leads you on puts you on a walking path, but you can either park at the top of the hill, or navigate around to their parking lot pretty easily.

Set on top of a hill, in the middle of a golf course and some beautiful walks, the Old Lodge is an absolute gem !We stayed for a night with our little baby and the room was large and spacious (even with a traveling cot in there). It has an old-world charm.The downstairs is completely occupied by a restaurant and bar area and it is absolutely delightful! Full of cheer and dogs and smiles.For breakfast (included with the room rate), I had the full English (don't skip!l) and we also had the Avocado with Sourdough and poached eggs. Compliments to the chef !! Simply delectable!
