“Absolutely beautiful food. A little too much and had to take some home. Excellent service and lovely location. We came on a quiet night and had the whole restaurant to ourselves. Ahmed looked after us very well.”
“We stayed at the Priory Inn for a weekend break, using it as a base to visit places of interest in south Gloucestershire. We were broadly happy with our experience. The decoration of the rooms looked a little tired, but that's really our only criticism. The beds were comfy, the breakfasts were excellent, and the bathroom actually had a bath (wonderful!). On our first evening we used the hotel dining room for dinner, and that too was excellent (I recommend the pork). Above all, I'd like to congratulate the lady front-of-house manager who was always friendly, helpful and on top of things. She gave the impression of someone who loved her job.”
“I returned to the Holford for a quiet midweek dinner on my own.
As with my previous visits the welcome was warm and the place felt very comfy and familiar.
Ordered a pint of Uley ale and a main course of lemon and thyme roast chicken butternut squash risotto with chimi churi and parsnip crisps.
The ale was on point and the food was exactly what I hoped it would be.
The service was excellent and all in all I couldn't fault the experience.”
“Stayed here recently for 2 nights. Fantastic place with a very warm welcome. Room was lovely especially the roll top bath and food was superb with the steak pie the best I've ever had. Will definitely be back!”
“Lovely drinks, good vibes, friendly service and good selection of drinks. Really lovely atmosphere. Will return!”

“Loved every minute, stayed the entire afternoon. A typical quintessentially English stone pub, with delicious food (I had their veg burger, crispy chips and a scrumptious choc dessert) We all felt similarly. A delightful young guy waited at table, courteous, helpful and chatty. A great languid afternoon.”
