We stayed at the Priory Inn for a weekend break, using it as a base to visit places of interest in south Gloucestershire. We were broadly happy with our experience. The decoration of the rooms looked a little tired, but that's really our only criticism. The beds were comfy, the breakfasts were excellent, and the bathroom actually had a bath (wonderful!). On our first evening we used the hotel dining room for dinner, and that too was excellent (I recommend the pork). Above all, I'd like to congratulate the lady front-of-house manager who was always friendly, helpful and on top of things. She gave the impression of someone who loved her job.

We have just returned from a lovely couple of days at the Priory Inn, where we received a very warm and friendly welcome from Natalie and her friendly staff. The rooms were comfortable, the food excellent, and we felt nothing was too much trouble. Tetbury is an interesting town to nose around, with very pleasant walks in the surrounding countryside. Altogether a lovely relaxing stay.

A group of five. Mains and puddings all good especially brisket, fish and chips and pavlova. Welcoming atmosphere and attentive service. A pleasant evening all round. We would go again if we were in the area.

Clean rooms, kind staff and good food. Very close to the road, but the noise didn't bother us. There is a nice outdoor area for relaxing and drinking.

OMG, what can I say about this hotel absolutely tiptop, we come with a group of friends that we met in Aruba 11 years for another reunion we couldn’t be made to feel more welcome. If they tried we had a circumstances where there was a couple that couldn’t come. They were so compassionate and understanding it was so heartwarming, the food was absolutely to die for the chef. Also great at what he does, and I come from a family of four chefs, the staff was all very passionate about their work, also went above and beyond so Natalie and matt. Well done for having such a great team and making our weekend so enjoyable. We will definitely be back

This hotel is a gem. From the moment we walked in we were given such a wonderful, warm welcome by the Manager, Natalie… and from then onwards it just got better and better! The rooms were attractive, spotlessly clean with extremely comfortable beds. The food from locally sourced ingredients was truly outstanding – cooked to perfection and beautifully seasoned. Each time we ate there, it felt like a gourmet experience…compliments to the chef / chefs! The service from the rest of the staff was friendly, warm and welcoming – nothing was too much trouble. I went with my sister and elderly mum and we all agreed it was one of the best places we’d ever been too – a special thank you from my mum to Natalie for making it so special.

A truly lovely hotel, everything from the greeting on arrival to the departure was spot on. All the staff greeted you with a smile, and nothing seemed to be too much trouble. The food was excellent, the rooms clean, comfortable and bathroom well stocked with nice towels. Nice location and close to many places to visit. Thank you Nat and Matt.

Rarely give out 5 stars but this hotel deserves them all. From the moment we walked in to a really bright 'Hello!' to the moment we left the customer service was one of the best we've ever experienced. The Manager is wonderful but we must give a special mention to Rob(?) the assistant manager. He really was a breath of fresh air and was incredibly helpful, courteous and professional. The room was a good size, bed comfortable and toiletries, biscuits, tea and coffee etc well stocked. Wifi strong and shower was absolutely wonderful. Had dinner there on Saturday night as we'd heard good things about the chef. Oh my goodness! My t-bone was absolutely mouth watering and my husband's bbq ribs the same. Pleasantly surprised by the bill too. We'd booked for a family wedding in the same town or would have tried the Sunday dinner without a doubt. Judging by the evening meal and breakfasts this place should be extremely proud of it's food. All made for a superb weekend away and although we rarely return to the same town, I think this will an exception. Many many thanks to all concerned.

I stayed here when attending a wedding nearbg. I have to say Natalie the manager was fantastic. She made me feel right at home and even put my cufflinks on. The breakfast was AMAZING. Very comfortable stay!

I was part of a very big group (20+) who arrived at The Priory without booking one lunch time. The staff were able to accommodate us all and worked a way to get all food and drink orders in and served up with efficiency and a smile too. Great service when we caught you off guard! The food was delicious too. Thanks ?
