Great place , we held a baby shower , had room off dining area , good size, there were 12 of us.Staff very friendly and welcoming, especially Charlie who was very helpful when we setting the room up. ( and for taking the group photo )We had the buffet , honey & mustard cocktail sausages & quiches were delicious, great cheese boards , 3 different salads , sandwiches and dips. Well presented and plenty of it.Definitely recommend , great afternoon at a lovely place.

Just went to the restaurant, asked for the vegan option, got a dry burnt burger, think it was moving mountain, but too burnt to tell, was then told the mayo they servedwith the chips wasn't vegan... Pretty disappointing, chips were the best bit and pretty average, doubt chefs try their own food. No offer to fix or replace.

Beautiful room (10) with whirlpool bath, all staff friendly and professional. We stayed for four nights bed, breakfast and evening meal and although not a large menu, all food was delicious and prepared to order with quality local ingredients. This hotel is ideally located to explore the stunning Cotswold countrysue, we particularly enjoyed our Highgove Gardens tour which is very close to this hotel. We will return.

When we arrived at the Inn there was no one at the reception desk. Someone eventually rushed past and said they would return to check us in. They then asked us what room we were in? We hadn’t yet been checked in? We were booked in for dinner but were told unfortunately the restaurant was booked for a wake but we could have our meal in the bar! Nice! We were allocated Room 2. Just dismal. Dated and tired, dirty window frame with view of the bins. Bathroom shabby and dated, with toiletries supplied barely enough for one person. This was supposed to be a Virgin Experience gift. Just ghastly. We returned our key and went home. My husband has never commented negatively about a place we have stayed but couldn’t face a night in this place. Very disappointed indeed. This was a 60th birthday gift.

My husband and I were given a 70th birthday gift for us to stay at the Snooty Fox Hotel we couldn’t fault the room it was lovely and spacious with two huge windows that made the room lovely and bright, one downside was the bath it had a jacuzzi very nice if your not disabled, my husband is and would have benefited more with a shower as he couldn’t get into the bath, the other downside to our visit was the breakfast, we were so looking forward to our full English breakfast but sorry to say it was awful, we waited 20 minutes for it and when it came out the sausages were cremated we couldn’t even cut into them and the same with bacon it basically was inedible, we only ate the fried egg and beans, the last day we had eggs royale but they were stone cold when they came, all I can say is they need another chef because I have seen other reviews and it seems to be a common complaint otherwise it would have been a four star review

Our stay was awful, as the duty manager on 15th August is aware. We were allocated room 8, after agreeing to a payment of £30 extra on our virgin experience gift voucher, for an 'upgrade' to a superior twin room. This room is the worst hotel room that I have ever had the misfortune to stay in. Apart from the dated and shabby decor ( see attached photographs), there was a huge, noisy extractor fan outside the window. This ran until 9pm and then again at 7.15am. The following day, my husband's breakfast was inedible. The mushrooms were burned and shrivelled, the bacon cremated ( not 'well done' as requested) and it was impossible to cut the black-pudding. He was given poached eggs on toast as a replacement, which took so long to arrive that his appetite disappeared. We complained to the manager, who offered us a voucher for a genuinely superior room, dinner, and breakfast as compensation. We accepted, hoping for a better experience the next time, but we haven't received anything yet. Regards, Carol Jephcote.

Stayed here for one night in a compact double room, and had dinner in the restaurant. We didn't have any hot water. To be clear, it's not that it took a long time to come through hot, there was simply no hot water whatsoever. We didn't realise this until the morning, and we were leaving very early. Therefore, we didn't have time to mess around trying to get it sorted, meaning that neither of us had a shower. When we checked out we made the staff member aware. Although we didn't ask, I would have expected an offer of at least a part refund, or a free meal perhaps. We weren't given any sort of reimbursement. On a good note, we ate in the restaurant which was very smart and the food was excellent, although expensive. All the staff were very friendly and welcoming. The room was average, certainly compact, but no complaints. It was a hot night so we needed the window open. There's quite a lot of traffic noise from the street at the side, so not ideal for light sleepers. Location is very good. Parking is available nearby, and in the road outside if you're lucky enough to get a space.

Enjoyed a great couple of nights at the Snooty Fox. We came with our 5 month old puppy and the staff really made him and us feel welcome. Our room was lovely, really spacious and with a comfy bed. Plenty of room for puppy too. The food was great, including a comprehensive selection for breakfast. There is a little bit of noise in the rooms but it's an old building right on the high street, so to be expected. But the location more than makes up for it as a base for exploring. Would definitely recommend staying here :)

Lovely hotel. Very friendly staff. Nice breakfast. Our particular room was pleasant but needs a lot of updating. Not having windows to look out of was a little off putting.Walkability: Excellent location on the town. Very near a car park which doesn’t charge from 6pm until 8am. Parking can be done via phone, making it easy to add on parking time.

Wanted a quick bite to eat so parked up and walked to this pub just off the island and market square and sat with fish and chips outside and drinks. Pleasant watching the busy scene

We stopped here when it was raining, they are dog friendly which is great. The bar man gave us extra biscuits with our coffee and brought the dogs a plate of doggie biscuits! We had toasted sandwiches and chips and it was delicious!

2 nights spent in the snooty fox were very special. The staff are very good and we were well looked after. The dining room is enormous and comfortable, the food in the evening was excellent. The room was very comfortable with an excellent bath and shower over. The town car park behind the hotel is easy to use as its free to use between 1800 and 0800 the next day.

Family lunch as we passed through Tetbury and we were expecting a ‘hotel’ standard. Average at best. Food took almost 40 mins to arrive. Had to send the bread back as it was so hard to be almost inedible. Wouldn’t visit again as there are other places in town worth a try.

WHAT HAVE YOU DONE TO THE FRONT BAR!!? Well I have been a customer of the Snooty Fox for decades...one of my favourite places to stop by for coffee or lunch. I stopped by for coffee a couple of months ago and had to go out and back in as I thought I was in the wrong building. I was shocked at the restyle of the front bar, what ? it was all tables and chairs, the bar has disappeared, I felt like I may as well be on a cheap café, absolute no more character, I realise its to get on more seating to make more money, but they've totally spoilt it. That bar made the room. I was quiet upset as I always loved it in there, now it's all eyes and echoes of people talking. I won't be going back there again, I'll be going to the Place instead ..very disappointing ?
