Great place! We tried for lunch but they had kitchen issues. Instead we had tea and a panini from the place over the road. Friendly owner.Look forward to coming back to sample the food!Parking: Watch out for badly labeled residents parking

We recently moved to Tetbury and heard some good mumbles about the Woolpack and having the first Sunday off in ages my husband I booked a table online for Sunday lunch. We booked 3pm as it stated online it was open until 4pm. In the morning we had an emailed confirmation as well as a phone call to confirm. At 2.500m we duly arrived expecting a lovely roast, a nice bottle of wine and we even discussions en route of pudding- we were looking forward indeed! However we never got to order anything as the front of house lady advised that the kitchen was now closed and there was no record of our booking , my husband showed her the reservation and explained tge call earlier. A discussion then ensued between her and the chef whether we were correct as if we were being doubted. She did however apologise but we certainly got the impression from the open kitchen that the Chef had seen the opportunity to clean up and get away early and he wasn’t budging. I’m not a negative TA winger but at 3pm on a Sunday it was impossible to find another venue for lunch and we were really disappointed. I feel in this current climate the management should be aware that staff or notably the Chef is dictating their profitability. It would not have been an issue to move our table to earlier in the service to suit him but just to cancel a reservation is exceptionally poor. I have given two stars as I thought the ambience was very nice and I do think the woman server dealt with the situation as well as she could but they have lost some potentially good local customers I’m afraid.

We had a delicious meal at The Woolsack Kitchen a couple of Saturdays ago. We'd walked up there on the Friday evening but they were fully booked so booked for the Saturday evening. Tom gave us a menu but said if there was anything we fancied that wasn't on the menu to let him know ny Saturday morning and he'd get the food in. It was lovely to see the chef working in the kitchen while we chatted to Tom. We had the pork belly and sea bass as the mains. All courses were delicious. Our meal was definitely worth the 10 minute walk from the town centre. Wishing you the best of luck in your venture. We will return on our next trip to Tetbury.

Absolutely amazing! First class service and the food was beautiful! Hot and fresh and the brownie was to die for literally the best thing ever ?

Don't be put off by its location in a new residential complex. Had lunch here with our walking group of 12. Good value range of light lunches. . Service was prompt , just a minor hiccup with dressings for salads but voted first class by the group. Undersells itself on the website, should publish prices there as they are such good value. No mention of soft drinks anywhere but I'm sure they are available - worth extending menu to include these and to remind people that coffee is also available. Perhaps also rename listing on Tripadvisor to Woolsack Kitchen. Will definitely go back, Sunday Lunch menu looked enticing and, again, very good value.
Great burgers what a nice place to eat in tetbury good luck to Tommy and team doing a great job x

We looked on the website, the FB page and even visited, but apart from Sundays, the prices are kept secret! Annoying - so we haven't booked.

Not the perfect start when told “the manager forgot to order in alcohol free lager when tried to order our drinks. Manager walked around in trainers and with paper work strewn about the place, staff leaving coats on back of chairs in front of house. The food: Average and over priced. £28 got two courses and whilst the veg was nice, we asked for the beef to be cooked a little more (which we were told was fine) but still came out the same. Not worth £28 to be honest. The service: the waiter seemed keen on calling us “guys” throughout despite having a mix of children and elderly in our party. Didn’t seem overly keen in talking to us but was polite. Surroundings: no where for disabled to park or at least not easily signposted and whilst the chef was great- he said it was fine for my son to go and sit but the chessboards, we were later told that we weren’t allowed “as the residents won’t like it. We won’t visit again despite the location. It was much better as Steepleton and not as the Woolsack kitchen.
