Polite staff. Absolutely excellent huge roast. Had to wait a wee while due to it being being busy. A lot of children going in and out of the garden unsupervised leaving doors open in December. One of our party was elderly and it was drafty. Over all well worth a visit will return.

Held our annual Christmas bash in the little side room, at The Goldsmiths last night. Had a fabulous time with lovely service, great drinks and absolutely amazing food. Thanks for looking after us all, we had a hoot!

First time visit here as son has just moved to the area. Homely pub atmosphere although quite a strong smell of bleach when we walked in. Essentially a no-frills pub, not an upmarket gastropub and the prices reflect that. My son and partner enjoyed 2 good pints of Guinness and our food arrived in good time on a Sunday Lunchtime. My half roast chicken was well cooked with crispy skin with very generous trimmings, a very full plate. Enormous Yorkshire pudding but that unfortunately was cold, but everything else was hot and flavoursome. My partner thought her vegan roast was very good and she is picky! No complaints from anyone about their choices which also included burgers and an aubergine bake and we were all very full. If you like good solid traditional pub food in a Victorian vibe pub with no pretension, then this is the place for you!

I really like this pub. They always have a good range of beers available (including cask) , as well as nice wines and spirits. The menu isn’t overly extensive but just what you want from a pub. Warm confirming food on a November night. The food was enjoyable and the service was excellent.

Best fish n chips I've tasted in a long time. Hats of to the chefs. Great atmosphere and friendly staff love it!!

I got a Veggie burger on its own £10, fries,a pint of beer and an appetizer and it just tipped over £20 . It's a modern sticky carpet quirky bar and it's fine but I think we can only visit on a very rare occasion at those prices.Kid-friendliness: There is bored games. Unfortunately they're missing most pieces but we improvised.
Went sat 2nd September at 7pm. The young girl behind the bar was so so rude. Bad attitude and spoke like she didn't want to be there. When asked for menu she tutted and pointed then the wall by the bar. Disgusting felt like we couldn't go and ask for a drink after this due to her rudness.

Booked a pre wedding party in their private room. The room had been set up for us with balloons etc which was a lovely surprise and the service from the staff was excellent!

Lovely traditional pub, cosy interior and very friendly staff. New to the area and tried the vegan roast dinner (with a yorkie added), was delicious. Will definitely return.

Came across this pub recently and been a few times. I generally had a great time at this pub overall! The ambiance was cozy, and the drinks were spot on. However, there was one new worker named Jordan, who seemed inseparable from his phone when working and I dunno, but is it normal for someone to wear their fedora hat whilst working? Dunno but it seemed weird to me, looked like he was ready for Goodwood Revival Penge style... or perhaps trying to organise it with his calls. Hadn't seen him there before.On the bright side... Ryan, Maddie and Helen were a delight! (I think they were the names). The always provide excellent service, made our Saturday all the more enjoyable.Apart from the occasional "hat-and-phone show" by Jordan, the pub was a wonderful place to unwind. I highly recommend visiting.
