Held our annual Christmas bash in the little side room, at The Goldsmiths last night. Had a fabulous time with lovely service, great drinks and absolutely amazing food. Thanks for looking after us all, we had a hoot!
First time visit here as son has just moved to the area. Homely pub atmosphere although quite a strong smell of bleach when we walked in. Essentially a no-frills pub, not an upmarket gastropub and the prices reflect that. My son and partner enjoyed 2 good pints of Guinness and our food arrived in good time on a Sunday Lunchtime. Polite staff. Absolutely excellent huge roast. Had to wait a wee while due to it being being busy. A lot of children going in and out of the garden unsupervised leaving doors open in December. One of our party was elderly and it was drafty. Over all well worth a visit will return.
