I found Barking Cafe near our hotel and decided to give it a try. To our delight, the food was amazing, the portions generous, and the service warm and welcoming—thanks to the friendly owners who made us feel right at home.
We loved it so much that Barking Café quickly became our go-to spot. On our last day, my son even chose it for our final meal in England. Highly recommended for an authentic and memorable breakfast experience!.

21, Faircross Parade, Upney Ln, Longbridge Rd, BarkingWent to my girlfriend’s local cafe today for a fry up and the service was excellent, was greeted straight away by Beyhan she explained that it’ll be better to order the daily munch breakfast instead of making my own and she will change some of the items for me, which I found very helpful. The atmosphere was really good the music as well top tier.

2, The Vicarage Field Shopping Centre, Ripple Rd, BarkingMuch better than expected. I was put off by all the smokers sat outside staring at customers, but once inside, it was great.
It opens early (most cafes don't open until 0800) which suited us. The coffee was delicious.
I then returned for breakfast and the two young ladies did a good job preparing the food. I had an omelette (mis-spelt on the menu board) and my daughter had pancakes.
We also had a pastry each.
I loved it. One of the best breakfasts I've had in the UK.

It's Barking delicious.
I spotted this board saying fish and chips with a can for 6.20 which is cheap so no harm in trying.
It turned out to be a fiver because I didn't want the can.
The good thing is that the fish was fried to order so I had to wait.
It was a small piece of fish that delivered which I'd rather have than something not nice but cheap and a big portion that I wouldn't want to finish.
Everything was perfect in the sense the oil was clean and there was no oil lingering on my fingers.
Fish was tasty and flaky with skin attached while the batter was light and moreish with an appetizing colour.
It was definitely comforting having some good fish and chips which really made my day.
They also serve kebabs and lacmachun.

62-64 Station Parade, BarkingWhen I walked in, I was truly impressed by the energy and dedication of the staff. I had to sit here for about two hours while waiting for my spouse, and during that time, I observed how hardworking the team was.
One male staff member in particular caught my attention with the way he cleaned and took out the trash. At the same time, the lady inside was carefully cleaning and organizing the coffee machines. Their teamwork and commitment to their tasks really stood out to me.
It’s genuinely rare these days to come across people who work with such care and professionalism. I didn’t want to keep these positive thoughts to myself, so I chose to write them down here. Thank you for the excellent service. A special thanks to the kind, dark-haired gentleman with the warm smile — I was too shy to ask for his name, but his efforts did not go unnoticed.

54 Station Parade, BarkingOrdered online. I was impressed because I was able to have a burger without a bun with no mess. Believe me or not it is important when you don’t eat carbs. Majority of the mass known restaurants offer no bun option but it is always messed and disgusting to eat.
Well done Dixy I have enjoyed my burger even tho I have taken bun off and chicken was nice. Delivered quick and with sauces. Consider keto friendly - carbohydrate free options in the menu and you will hit the roof ?

The food was delicious, as expected from KFC, and the environment was clean and well-maintained. We decided to try the Christmas meal deal, which was a great choice. The chicken was cooked perfectly, crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. The sides, including the festive items, complemented the meal nicely. The seating area was spacious and comfortable, offering a pleasant atmosphere for a meal with friends or family.
However, our experience was slightly marred by the staff's uncooperative attitude. When we asked for ketchup and mayo, we were informed that they had run out, which seemed unusual. The staff member's response felt a bit dismissive, and it left us disappointed. We understand that sometimes supplies run low, but the lack of alternative options or any apology for the inconvenience was frustrating.
Despite this minor setback, the overall quality of the food and the clean, inviting environment made up for the less-than-ideal service. I would still recommend KFC Barking for a quick and tasty meal, but hope that the staff can be a bit more accommodating in the future. 4 stars.
