First time in 30 years that I felt things are beginning to slip. The staff were great but the food isn't what it used to be. The prawn starter had hardly any prawns in it. The calamari was burnt on one side and uncooked and soggy on the other. The pizzas were just ok. Then they run out of cream for the desserts. Very disappointing to see their usual high standards slipping.

THANK YOU Chris & Team: Have been coming to this Pizza Express since I was a child (remember my parents holding a birthday party here for me) now I have a baby and look forward to the next generation coming here. What makes my visit special is my wife and I look forward to the welcoming staff especially Christopher who honestly makes our meal feel more than just a dinner out. Great attitude, work ethos, astoundingly remembers our preferences from our previous visit a very special waiter with this level of attention - “calabrese no calabrese sausage, instead pepperoni” ? he knows

Three for dinner. Refurbished restaurant out front was well overdue. Toilets were not done. Not great. Service was slow. Not enough staff. It appears there is more focus on home delivery than on the restaurant itself. Suggest a dedicated team for this as it is messing with service inside. Pizza was cold and not the thin and crispy as ordered. Not the best experience. I have enjoyed meals here in the past. I believe there is a shortage of staff to deal with busy periods. Something is a miss at the Barnet Branch.
Very friendly staff and excellent student offers. A good range of quality dishes and a modern contemporary feel.

I couldn’t be happier with todays service. I took my son and some of his friends to pizza express for a birthday meal today and the service was fantastic!!! Our table was looked after by 2 ladies but I stupidly didn’t take their names however they were super pleasant & patient from start to end. They really went over and above to make us feel comfortable.The food came out fast, hot and tasty in fact I had forgotten how good PE’s pizzas are.Great service !!!!!!

Karola was a lovely waitress and very attentive. We went in om a busy Saturday evening and the chefs were working so hard. Food came out in a timely fashion, tasted good and was piping hot. Good veggie choices.Vegetarian options: Good veggie options

I visited Pizza Express with my best friend to spend some quality time together and really had the best time. The food was very delicious, we asked the waiter for his suggestion and it did not disappoint. Great atmosphere, friendly people and smiles everywhere. Would definitely visit again.
