I had a drink in The George Inn with some friends of mine in May this year. We were served by staff member Emily, Emily was very friendly, attentive and welcoming throughout the visit. She greeted myself and the group warmly and her professional manner was a fine reflection on the pub as a whole. Thank you Emily and the team for your hard work. We will definitely drink here, again!

Everytime we've visited here, we've always felt very welcome and as someone who does multiple bar crawls, the energy and friendliness of the staff has always impressed me. 100% recommend for any of your reasons for visit, from a quick drink to social evenings.

Great night and great atmosphere! Lovely garden for the summer with huts for when it gets chilly with heaters. Friendly staff and lovely food. Will come back again!

Would have been 5 but reduced menu on mother's day, annoying, plus 1 out of the 3 who served us initially was moody and didn't listen. Other ladies made up for it!Good burger, recommend the P.I.G burger

The pub had an amazing atmosphere there was a magician going round who’s tricks were class and he was a top bloke. Served by Matt and the service was fast and good.

Had a great time on Sunday evening. Sat in their beautiful garden and enjoyed sharing a bottle of wine, felt like being in a country pub. Couldn't fault the service or cleanliness of the pub. Will definitely be having another pit stop very soon.

Went to the George inn on easter Sunday with some friends for some drinks. We've been before and always found it a nice pub. We were having a fine time, the music was a bit loud but otherwise drinks were good, place was clean etc. However the problems started when they rang last orders. On the website it says on Sundays they close at 22.30 (no mention of any different closing times on bank holidays). They rang the last orders at 21.45 which I thought was premature but must be because they like to give people a while to drink their drinks- fair enough. So at 22.00 we got one more drink each to finish off the night nicely. However at 22.15 a blonde staff member came over and said "come on guys you've got to drink up now you're the only ones in here" in quite an aggressive tone. We looked around and saw that we were so picked up our full drinks and walked to the bar to ask for plastic cups. Whilst we were getting our things together another member of staff who looked like a manager (brown hair, fringe and glasses) shouted "come on guys we're closing the doors and that isn't an invitation to stay" again in a very aggressive manor. The whole thing felt like they didn't care at all and just wanted us out. We asked for plastic cups and they said they couldn't give them out because you can't drink on the high st. Which would have been fine but why did they sell us more drinks when we couldn't possibly have drank them in that space of time? I said to the manager "just so you know it says you close at 22.30 on the website", she then took this to mean I was arguing with her and kept making up all kinds of nonsense about "thats the drink up time and we only have to give you half an hour after last orders" none of it really making any sense and all of it said in a very rude way. I work in a very busy bar on the Southbank and would never dream of speaking to customers as I was spoken to especially not at the end of the night. They all clearly just wanted to get home as soon as possible and didn't really care what the website said. A whole round of drinks had to be downed and half left because they weren't allowing us to stay and quietly finish them. Honestly such a shocking a horrible end to the night, I can't describe the rudeness of that manager. Will never be going there again, really not worth putting up with that.

We've been to The George twice recently since the pandemic and we've had a great time both times. Summer, a member of the bar staff here, has always made us feel so welcome. The team here is great and the selection of drinks is good too. We'll be back again for sure!

Lovely experience here. I work nearby and often come after work for some wine and a bite and am always pleased by the service. The staff are always polite and friendly and food always perfect. Tonight I was served by Emily, Joe, Joel and Kat, all up held the same amazing service!! My favourite pub despite not being my local I always return! Definitely recommend for any group of people.
