Had really high hopes for this place based on their great reviews! However, our experience was a mixed bag. Started off with fresh papadums. Our mixed starter was delightful as were the samosas! For main their lamb shank is so tender and juicy. However, our lamb biriyani was incredibly tough and the rice didn’t seem fresh. The chicken in the korma was rubbery and bland. The keema naan barely had any filling. Since most of the main fell short, we left feeling disappointed.Also, we found the lights to be quite white and bright which made the environment quite sterile.

Finally after few months of searching I have found an amazing Indian restaurant in the area. Having Nepalese friends I know a good curry and what can I say, Kathmandu Masala's veggie curry is probably the best I have ever had! Just wow. Smooth and friendly service too. I also noticed we were given a new rice box when asking to take the food leftovers home. Superstars!! I will be returning very soon

Had a takeaway, my food was delicious, ordered way too much but was class the next day, I had both the garlic chilli chicken and a green curry that I can't remember the name of but had mint, coriander and green chillies which could've been spicier but was amazing, the mrs had a paneer dish with Bombay aloo and saag paneer which she said was lovely, this has become our regular and can recommend highly over other local places.Vegetarian options: Plenty, with a specific section on the menu, but we went in to collect and they were very helpful in chopping and changing and being generally awkward about veggie food, but they were great.

Can't comment on atmosphere as I was only collecting a takeaway. However, the food was very good indeed and was ready in exactly the time I was quoted. Friendly and helpful staff.

A good little curry house in Beckenham. Service was good. Pricing ok, maybe a touch expensive. In terms of food, quite good, a little on the spicy side for me personally (even mild dishes). Good starter selection & Bombay Aloo

What an absolute gem this place is. The service is absolutely perfect, friendly and attentive but not over the top. The food is really great, and such fantastic value. Very happy we tried this place and we'll definitely be back, great traditional curry house!
Wow wow wow ordered through uber eats and my meal was delicious, temperature hot and well seasoned with plenty flavour. No faults at all. Compliments to the chef. I shall visit soon for the dining experience ??

Wow - Kathmandu Masala is so so good! Really friendly and professional service and exceptional value for money in a charming dining room. We had such wonderful food - we enjoyed Camparis, pappadams and sundries, onion bhajis, beautiful curries, rice and naan. Including service this came to just £30 each. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend or return - really superb.

I used to be a regular customer of this restaurant but have recently developed some allergies. If you have any dietary requirements this is not the restaurant for you! God forbid if you have a nut allergy or want to ask if they have any gluten free dishes, they do not want to know! Their customer services was not great and they didn’t seem to have any interest or care in listening to any allergies which you may have to accommodate your requirements. If they cannot accommodate your requirements that’s fair enough, but there is a way in which you convey this message to your customers! We came on a family night out and it didn't disappoint. My curry was the best veggie curry I've ever had... Ever!! Not greasy and full of flavour. Meat dishes I was told were spot on as well. Good sized portions and quick service... What's not to like! Will be back next time I'm in Beckenham for sure :)
