Took my mum and dad to the calvery after a busy day at the hospital, the member of staff Danielle not at all friendly and when said the food was not hot she said she can microwave it, if I wanted a ready meal I would have stayed home ? did not look like she could be bothered to serve at all ,call the calvery and spoke to someone with this feed back she said she will see if she is having a bad day and talk to her , if you don’t like you job then don’t do it we had a bad day but was still happy and polite.

OMG how hot was this pub, okay it's December but really. Food very average, Guinness? Not gonna give it more than acceptable. Atmos, not sure there was one. Service, hmmm difficult to say.

We were greeted by the most arrogant, rudest front of house staff member we have ever come across. The moment we walked in as a party of 7, this particular individual made us all feel uncomfortable and just seemed tired of life and people in general. I think her name was Danielle if I recall from my receipt, regardless she is certainly in the wrong profession if that’s how she greets punters. Shame as the food weren’t bad but never again.

As a southern American, I've found it difficult to find flavorful food in the UK. However you guys hit the mark. I fully intend on returning. The service was friendly and on point and the food was amazing. Thank you all.

Awful. Booked a table at 8.40 for 6 people. Ordered refillable soft drinks only to find out that they closed the drinks machine as soon as the waitress brought us the (empty) glasses to the table. We were told to request drinks at the bar which had a much smaller variety than the machine and had to wait for ages which meant by the time we got to eat, the food was cold.As soon as we were served they closed the kitchen and emptied the food area. We could have booked a later slot so we assumed we would have plenty of time to dine in peace.I complained but there was no point or appropriate response.Won't go back again

Amazing service from Jamie on the bar. After a disappointing experience on reception - Jamie’s customer service, care and kindness towards us and especially my 2 year old nephew was so lovely and greatly appreciated. He’s an absolute asset to the team. Thankyou a million times

It’s a Toby Carvery so can’t really get excited about it. It does what it says in the tin.Meat was good and vegetables were cooked well. Sounds could have done with been a bit crispier but I guess that’s personal taste. Would be nice to see a better range of real ales though. Choices are limited and main stream garbage only.Great service though attentive staff.Vegetarian options: Selection of vegi dishes if you like mushrooms but quite honestly half hearted attempt at appeasing vegetarians. My wife was very disappointed especially when you consider what is out there now. They’ve no excuse.
Our server was Leah and she was lovely, helpful, polite and attentive. Two of us had turkey and gammon which was delicious and the other had gammon and beef (which was a little tough). Cheesecake for pudding which went down a treat. Excellent value for money.

In the interests of transparency I have left this review in return for a free pudding. Food was very good, it's clean and the waitress, Danielle, was knowledgeable and our orders arrived quickly. At the end of the day, it's a carvery and you know what to expect but this is worth a visit if you like this style of eating.Kid-friendliness: Fine

The atmosphere was good. However the food could be hot, it was warm. So my suggestion is place a minimum amount of food on the buffet as the evening progress, this will allow customers to have hot food served at all times.

Waited 15 minutes to be seated, waiter took ages to come and see us, another lady ended up coming to speak to us regarding our order. Our drinks didn’t arrive till our meal were more than half finished. First we tried to order a honeycomb sundae, and they ran out of honeycomb theb Ordered different deserts, waited around 20 minutes then the waiter came to say they don’t have ice cream as suddenly their ice cream machine are broken. 20 minutes is taking the mick!We love visiting the Toby in Eden Park but last night was a joke, and don’t think we will return after the service we received.

They couldn't accommodate a booking for my family of 10 so had to be booked as two separate tables, which on arrival we then had to wait 40 minutes for our tables, to which the staff showed no remorse towards. If it had been the other way around and we decided to show up 40 minutes late for our booking I'm pretty positive we would've lost the tables. Appalling.
