Everything is so amazing, where do I even begin? It’s the most authentic Japanese restaurant I’ve ever been to, the food is incredible, the portions are perfect & there's plenty to choose from. The people that own the restaurant are the sweetest & their service just really tops it all off. I’d pick this restaurant over any Japanese restaurant any day. I highly recommend to come here, it’s a hidden gem but one of the best in the whole of London.

We absolutely recommend and love Monsoon Indian restaurant on Brownhill Road Catford London.
The food is always sooo delicious, lots of choices and amazing value!
All the quality food is beautifully prepared and cooked by their chef, there since the last 17 years. All run and served by the kindest gentlemen in this pristine and very pleasant atmosphere gem of a restaurant. Good wines, beers and soft drinks etc to choose from.
Also very popular for online orders, but we prefer to have our cosy treat at the restaurant…you cannot be disappointed.

Nando's Catford

I came yesterday with my friend and I was warmly welcomed by Kyriah, where she encouraged me to take my order and asking about my day.

In addition, I have to say that this conversation was so well brought that we even started catching up on life as if we were already friends for a long time; balancing study and work which isn’t really because so much odds are stacked up against you.

Anyways, long-story short, we ended there and I told how I just finished my Masters degree and wanted to become a Power Rangers , which was for two reasons, one because I’m celebrating my completion, and two because I want to influence the kids for guidance because the younger generation really need positive role models.

Interestingly, when I came to my food I ordered a Chucky half-grilled chicken (medium spice level) with chips and garlic bread, and I have to see it really satisfied so, well, that even another worker, Tiyana, kindly and confidently asked how my food, and I triumphantly said ‘Yes, all is going well’. The refills were always decent (apart from the sugar tax though ?).

Overall, decent experience and those two girls, Tiyana and Kyriah, that I mentioned deserve a raise alongside the manager too.

Black Cat

The Black Cat sits on the edge of the Catford Centre shopping precinct in Catford, southeast London. The nearest station is Catford Bridge.

The pub first opened in 1974 as the Catford Ram. This former Young’s house was built as part of the Catford Centre development, with the iconic giant fibreglass cat guarding the main entrance.

It closed in 2015 to be refurbished and rebranded as The Black Cat, honouring Catford’s most famous landmark. It also boasts a unique cellar, located above the pub rather than below.

Inside, this spacious one-bar venue is wedge-shaped and windowless, aside from the entrance doors. The servery is on the right as you enter, with a pool table and dartboard at the back right. The bar is split-level, with a raised seating area on the left-hand side.

The décor is traditional, featuring a bright, well-lit bar area. Walls combine faux-brick wallpaper with dark blue paint, complemented by dark woodwork, ample seating, and a jazzy carpet. An eclectic mix of historical photos, music and film posters, and mirrors lines the walls. My favourites were the Nevermind album cover by Nirvana and a huge Bass mirror.

Beer is keg-only, with a range of familiar brands. I opted for a Guinness, an excellent pint and reasonably priced at a fiver. No food is served at present, but bar snacks are available if you’re peckish.

I arrived around 2:30pm on a mild Saturday afternoon in February. The pub was busy with local punters enjoying a afternoon tipple. The atmosphere was upbeat, with horse racing, rugby, and the footy showing on multiple screens around the bar. Service was excellent — I chatted with the guv’nor, who was friendly and personable. I also met fellow pub enthusiast @SELondonBoozers for a pint and a catch-up — top fella.

The pub shows live sport, including Premier League matches on Sky and TNT. There are also live music and karaoke nights.

From the outside, you would be fair to say I’ll give this one a miss but looks can be deceiving. This is a friendly locals pub with a solid guv’nor overseeing things. The surroundings are comfortable and there’s plenty to keep you entertained. My pint was top notch and only cost a fiver. I really enjoyed it here, this is definitely a Black Cat that should cross your path.

Visited on a Saturday night Food was good, service was conducted in typical African style, but not the place to go if you're seeking a conversation. The live band was excessively loud!

You will have to wait a while as its a 1 man show with uncle bill, but the flavours and taste are proper home cook style.To many carribean places try to get away with some sub standard rubbish but uncle bill always top quality authentic flavours. Best oxtail and rice and peas around

Costa Coffee

The current staff don't want to be there and it shows. The server walked away from me mid-order to talk to someone else. I walked out after that, will get coffee elsewhere.

Thai Garden & kawaii sushi catford

Had order thai red curry and green curry taste was athuntic and the food portion was big worht the price we paid for it and the egg fried rice goes good combination with the curry

Very Nice

Took a chance on Very Nice three years ago, hoping to impress a couple of overseas visitors. Chinese food can be so hit and miss, so it was a bit of a risk. Three years later, on their return (after travelling long distances) we immediately order from there. No brainer. Reviewing takeaways is always a gamble. (What if you get that 'one' mare of a delivery?) That's why I thought I'd wait. The takeaway on Friday - again, excellent.

Five stars for quality and consistency.

Papa Johns Pizza

Accidentally ordered for collection instead of delivery. Called the store to arrange delivery and they sorted it no problem and free of charge! The piazza got here really swiftly and was perfectly cooked. 10/10 will definitely be ordering from here again!

Greggs

I was collecting 'reserved' food for my freezer to eat at a later date. I recommend downloading the app 'Too Good to Go'. Save food from going to waste.

Greggs (136) was very busy! They were almost out of everything when I collected my 'surprise bag' at 4 pm. Another Greggs on Lewisham (High Street) cancelled my order for 'reserve' as all their surplus stock was sold out completely!

Please how do you decide to serve such to someone?

Uber eats had messed up the order, not takeaways fault at all, but they sorted it quickly with no problem and delivered the missing items themselves, food is always great, definitely recommend this place, Thank you!

KFC Catford - Rushey Green

For anyone craving fried chicken KFC is often a go-to choice. The menu offers a variety of meals from buckets for sharing to individual combos. The taste is satisfying though quality can vary by location and time of day. When done right it’s a very enjoyable experience.

Domino's Pizza - London - Catford

Amazing customer service and top quality food made to perfection by Arbaaz, the manager who was working alone. Bless his heart for being so accomadating late at night. Excelent customer service!

McDonald's

Going to this place here takes my mind away from stress and helps me think positively about my future as well as thinking about the past, especially one’s childhood because it truly reflects my true destiny ?.

In addition, seeing the security guy, Kunle Olasode, always puts a smile on my face because he teaches me about gratitude and strong morals in life. He also feels just like my uncle because he carried very strong African and Nigerian attributes which I highly carry from him. Moreover, he also teaches me about great relationships, such as having a good and honest personality that it doesn’t matter the race or skin colour because it truly reflects on the person’s personality, what they like as well as coming from the heart.

Other things to write about this restaurant is that the staff are truly amazing alongside the mangers, and I have to say that whoever that works there always generally brings a smile to my face.
