The afternoon tea was part of a ‘gift experience ‘ and I don’t think they could of found anything cheaper. I have had many afternoon teas but this was the worst ever, no mini sandwiches instead a small pork pie type of thing a mini piece of french bread with a slice of ham and a small square of well not quite sure what! The cakes were obviously shop bought and looked that unappetising I did not try them. The scones however were very nice. Overall a very disappointing visit although the service was very good.

The Italian host who greeted us was awesome and made us feel welcome and safe in this new world. Breakfast was epic and set me up well for the day ahead. ?

The lass serving us was from Romania and was extremely attentive and friendly. The food was of a higher standard than expected and although the restaurant was full, the service was excellent!

On a sunday before heading home after a busy weekend in the big city we were at a lose end as to where to go for an affordable late lunch. A quick google search and Groupon scour and we had a three course meal for two for around £26.00 which in itself is a great price. For that price I wasn't expecting a great deal, a seperate menu was ought out and while the descriptions look fine i till had doubts about the portion sizes, I shouldn't have, by the end of our 2nd course I was stuffed and still had a pudding to come. Just for information I had breaded cheese starter, fish and chips and a creme brulee, all of which tasted great. A thoroughly enjoyable meal for us both at a great price, would certainly go there again.

The restaurant was empty at 9am on a Friday, but the breakfast was really nice! Filling and varied, the coffee was divine, and I'm quite a coffee critic :) Waitress was sweet.

I booked afternoon tea in advance for me and my Mum as part of a trip to London. The service was excellent and we were seated at a nice table promptly. When the afternoon tea arrived there was only one small individual portion of what we had assumed to be apricot jam between us. Upon opening the jar it turned out to be Marmalade! The label looked as if this small jar had been stuffed in the back of a cupboard for some time and upon sniffing the contents neither of us were keen to eat it. I queried this with the staff only to be told they had run out of jam! To be fair the waitress did apologise and when I stated that I was very disappointed about this all we were offered was more tea! The Croque monsieur was very tasty - but would benefit with the accompaniment of some tomato as it is very cheesy which makes it very rich. The selection of cakes varied from a lovely moist carrot cake to a very dry red velvet cake. The price is not unreasonable at £25 for two, watch out as service was automatically added to the bill at 10%. Overall we were left feeling a bit disappointed by the overall experience.

When we went in a group of 65 and the food was awful, the waiter was ignorant, and the plates (when served) had food on. This restaurant was appalling.

We decided to have the cheese afternoon tea to try it. The waiter didn’t even know what we were talking about and had to go and ask about it. When it came, there was a small croque Monsieur each on the bottom plate, about 6 small pieces of cheese in the middle and a melting Camembert with cranberry on the top. With that there was 5 small fingers of flatbread and 4 small pieces of celery. The £35 option came with a glass of wine each and a choice of coffees or tea. I asked the waiter about what we were suppose to eat the cheese on the middle plate with and was told the flatbread - then what were we suppose to eat theCamembert with? I queried 5 fingers of flatbread for 2 people and after he checked I was told to cut it in half. Really? Then they should cut them, then at least there would be an even number for 2 people. Anyway we requested the manager and was told that we should have been given biscuits to go with the cheese. That at least made sense. The food was nice and the manager was helpful but the original waiter had no knowledge of the products or menus on offer. We also thought that £35 was expensive for what we were given. Probably won’t choose that option again.

This was our first visit to this restaurant, only booked as close to the shard and part of a buy a gift present. The staff where great and very attentive. The meal was lovely and nice not to be rushed. If in this part of London again would gladly return.
