First i will talk about the service. The minute you walk in you are greeted by a positive and cheerful person. He kindly showed us to our table and here comes our server Mr Shanu amazing person helped us choose the best dishes out of the flavourful curated menu.Secondly i would love to talk about the food. Indian cuisine with a modern twist. We ordered 6 small plates and a portion of rice to share between 2 of us and oh my god each dish had its own character. We had the chance to meet and give compliment to Chef Rupesh. We finished it off with Old Monk Bread and Butter pudding. Will be back for more.

Extremely addictive view, inside place was a dump, food doubt quality, staff young and rude talking in their language in front of customers, toilet upstairs

a place to try... but some of dishes are really bland and not upto the mark. (e.g. chat)It's marketed as Michelin star but lacking the specialty options for food servicing.

Terrible food, chicken dishes 90% bones and no meat.

Great food diluted by transactional service. We came for the food, & left happy! Dishes have great flavour & texture … we enjoyed all. The letdown is how as soon as you sit, they’re trying to get you out … pestering you to order at the start & straight after delivering food (it was relentless!). Space is extremely cramped & you will hear every conversation around you & have your table bumped by everyone! Atmosphere was major letdown.
I walked in one night just wanting to use the restroom as I'm pregnant and needed to use facilities urgently and I was blatantly refused despite my condition as the restaurant claimed that since there were paying customers, only they were permitted to use their facilities.I would never recommend a restaurant that is so indifferent to the needs of humans. As an Indian myself, this is an insult to Indian hospitality and all the authenticity of the food cannot make up for a restaurant being so disconnected from what it truly means to be Indian.

The food was delicious and excellent, and the overall customer service was good, but it took a long time for the food to come out. Also, there was a long wait for ordering and receiving desserts.

Went here for my birthday dinner and the whole experience was lovely. The service from our waiter Felix was great, he was very knowledgeable with the menu. The food was so tasty, the soft shell crab and the duck was incredible. To finish it off they brought out a brownie for my birthday, what was a lovely finish to the experience. Thank you to the team.

We had an amazing time at Gunpowder. We didn’t have a reservation, but Felix, the host made it happen. This is by far the best Indian food/fusion cuisine I have had. No words to describe the delicious spread.
Extremely tasty food, very friendly
