It’s been a while since I’ve been here and it seems to have changed it’s name to ‘Grumpy Goose’ which funnily is rather apt.. I was after a coffee and snack to go and when I arrived the three staff at the counter were busy making drinks and did a very determined ignoring act for 5 minutes whilst another person and then another arrived. The place seemed pretty busy but not rammed for a Saturday early lunch time and a quick nod, smile and ‘I’ll be with you shortly’ was all that was required.. I would have walked had I not been desperate for caffeine! The young guy who finally engaged seemed very nice but alas no cash accepted (why is this now a thing?!) and the vegan GF muffin I went away with was very dry and tasteless. Flat white was good but was measly as didn’t fill the small cup and temperature a little too hot. So all in all, a fail and a shame as when I went a few years back it was a nice place all round from service, coffee and snacks.. Perhaps the name change has been prophetic!

A lucky find during a long journey! Had a couple of the sourdough toasties which were excellent. The coffee was also very good. Thank you!

I found this cafe earlier this year before the rebrand and it became my go to spot the portions were good, the food was nice and the employees lovely but now it seems that the food quantity has gotten smaller which is a big let down ! I compared the pictures from before and I was shocked don’t get me wrong the brekkie is still lovely but it’s just disappointing because I used to be full by the end and now I go home and have to eat more. I hope the team would take this into considerationI do have to say the new recruits aren’t as attentive as the usual girls they seem to be confused I assume they’re still trying to get used to the place, but I can see it becoming a problem during busier hours for both takeout and take in customersOur usual order is :Butchers breakfast 2 ?Tutti fruttiTropical fruitExperience 4/5 | Food 4/5 (due to smaller portion) | Service 3.8/5 (new recruits need to be more attentive

I needed to kill a couple of hours while my car was getting serviced. The staff here were friendly, pleasant, and efficient and I was able to work while enjoying a couple of cappuccinos and one of the best cinnamon rolls I’ve ever eaten!

A good experience!I loved the name of the cafe, interior and branding.Simple and average menu.It won’t blow you away. However, you won’t be disappointed either. You know, that ‘cafe round the corner you don’t mind visiting every now and then’, Grumpy Goose is that kind of a place. We had:- Croissant ? with Feta and Spinach- Croissant ? with jalapeño, pink onion, and cream cheese- Cinnamon Bun- Chocolate custard twist- Tuti Fruiti smoothie- Cortado ☕️- Filter coffee ☕️None of the items disappointed us neither we were super impressed. The young ladies working in the cafe were very friendly and attentive. For our orders we paid £23+Do pay them a visit and let me know if your experience was any different!

Friendly staff and very nice service. Best coffee I had in that area. Bagels were delicious. So lovely and romantic kind of atmosphere. Thanks for your kind service.

Fantastic place. Great coffee, exceptional food (both the pastries and savoury dishes). Lovely place. I just wish they were open on Mondays ?

Really lovely small cafe with fantastic cakes - possibly the best brownie I've ever had. Gluten free and vegan cakes available too. The cafe is quite busy so you may not be able to get a table easily or queue for a bit, but it's worth it.

Food is actually good , so congrats to the chef . It’s the only good thing about the place . Super slow service, sometimes 3 girls behind the counter who don’t seem to know where anything is . It’s mind numbing . A take away coffee that has even less coffee than my least favourite Starbucks . Only half of the cup of what was suppose to be a capuccino had some coffee and barely any froth ( could it be any worse ?) Too expensive for the slow service. Owner please be wary and train your staff a bit more .

Great place to have brunch at after the hike. Service is very friendly, and the food is great. Try their pancakes, those are freshly made and are very special!

I have been wanting to try this cafe for a few years as it had good reviews and I understood that they baked their own bread and pastries etc. I came here yesterday with my grown up daughter's and we weren't overly wowed by anything to be honest. We ordered avocado and halloumi bagels with chilli jam on the side. The bagels were not chewy like bagels, more like a bread roll shaped like a bagel. They were not toasted enough so the texture of the mushy avocado and halloumi with a soft bagel didn't win us over. The chilli jam was needed to put any taste into the bagel as without it ,it was a soft mushy tasteless sandwich. After paying over the odds we felt disappointed really. The ladies who worked there were really kind and welcoming and they worked hard upstairs to keep the cafe ticking along. Mediocre food in a slightly run down around the edges cafe in coulsdon with expensive food and drinks. Would I visit again? Probably not.

If you’re looking for some good quality breakfast to start the day. Then you better come to Cyco. Their food and their teas are amazing and I was served by the lovely ladies who are polite and hardworking. Gave them a well deserved tip, I have been coming here for almost a year now and won’t stop coming anytime soon ❤️

Butchers Breakfast is expensive at £11.95p without a tea or coffee, but it’s worth it. Excellently cooked and very tasty. Recommend

A great little cafe to grab breakfast on a weekend. Atmosphere and vibe was great, super dog friendly - our cocker spaniel was comfortable there. We had the farmers and butchers breakfast which was sublime. I don't usually eat black pudding because it never tastes great, but so far it's the best black pudding I've ever tasted. The beans are a chunkier and had a crunch to it, which if you're not used to your beans done that way can be off putting.Coffee was brilliant, just the right level of kick. Service was great! Everything done through a QR code to save you the trouble of waiting to pay or order. It does get very warm in there, and I'd encourage getting some sort of airflow going.
