I recommend to my friends and booked a table, we had not been told a set time limit for sittings, but then was asked when we would be leaving! We were out for after work food and drinks so had no idea how long we’d be but said, maybe 8pm (sat down at 4.30pm) We had a lovely meal and spent a lot on drinks and food we were ready to continue when we were told they wanted our table even though there were many tables available in the place! It was done in an abrupt manner and we decided to leave, such a shame a some of my friends hadn’t been before and loved the food . But now have a negative memory, So if you go check your length of booking I can’t fault the food though absolutely yummy and reasonably priced

Pros:Great food, no issues there at allFootball was on and ambience was live albeit a bit too noisy for conversationCons:Service was appalling, we were sat at our table for over 2 hours. It must have took 30minutes to serve the starters and then they seemed to have forgotten about the mains. We had to make multiple complaints only to be told the food was only being prepared at the time of complaining which was 60minutes post starters coming.I would say if you are not in a hurry and you are happy to wait then that is fine, but if you want to be served on time then do not go here.

Great food!! Reminded me of Regency in Queensbury, very homely feel. Nice atmosphere. Football was on a bit too loud and we had to ask several times before our tap water and drinks arrived. But food was great!

From the outside we didn't expect to much but I have to say the food was a pleasant surprise. I was there with work colleagues and the waiter said he was unable to split the table so we had to order at the bar which wouldn't of been an issue if we hadn't of ended up getting starters before our mains. However the food made up for this as it was truly delicious and enjoyed by all of my colleagues
Good no longer ethnic or lack taste. Cooking less than average. Nan is like rubber. ! The food reputation has lost its edge.

I love the Crown and Pepper! It's an Indian pub where you can get a meal or just a drink. There are LOADS of screens showing sports. It's a really lovely pub, great with mates. The food is delicious!
