Always a friendly welcome here. Decent size cakes, good coffee, especially welcoming to dogs; it's a great complement to the park.As others have mentioned, the toilets are very basic, unpleasant stainless steel smelliness - but these are looked after by the local council, not the café! The cafe is clean and smart.Wheelchair accessibility: Step-free from the road into the café to the park.

I've had coffee here several times, and it's consistently been a pleasant experience. As I am on a diet, I haven't indulged in any of their food offerings. But some look tempting, and prices seem reasonable.Outside of summer, the Cafe closes at 3:30pm with last orders at 3pm. There is a notice that use of tables is limited to 1 hr due to a shortage of space. Although well-patronised, it hasn't been busy enough during my visits to see this enforced. But it's probably not the place to spend hours with your laptop

Great service, value and food. Veggie breakfast x 2 was lovely today. Not sure of the chairs on tables. Supposed to be open till 4pm and over half the restaurant has chairs on their tables at 3.10pm. This is too early and it gives the impression you want people to leave. 3 30pm / 3.40pm fair enough.

The food is good, the staff friendly but woe betide anyone who visits after 3pm on a Sunday. It may be an hour (or 90 minutes) before the official closing but they will still be putting the chairs up and mopping the floor so you have to sit outside. Not so great in winter!

Extensive menu, hot food was really good and not too expensive. Kids loved the milkshakes. And its dog friendly. We will be back!

This time I went in just to get some water, and quench my thirst. I have been in there on many previous occasions, the staff are very friendly and are welcoming towards any dogs who visit. The food is good.

Today my family and I were treated with such rudeness and racist profiling by who I would presume is the owner/manager? It was raining and most of us who had also bought some food from here were sitting inside to wait out the rain so we could enjoy the field. After a bit, she came over and told us we could not sit here unless we ordered something, to which we replied that most of us did. We had receipts anyway. A few minutes later she put up a single chair on the table and said they were closing and we needed to leave? It was 2:30pm. The sign and google clearly said 4:30pm. It was interesting because she didn't tell the other people in the cafe to leave as they were closing so it was clear she was lying. A dog soon was running around the cafe and kitchen, a dog that was not hers even though she acted like it was (I have a photo of it with it's owner), a family member I was with heard her ask the owner to allow her to use the dog to "scare us" in hopes we would leave. Obviously it didn't work, and the dog was not threatening at all. It is a concern however that she would allow an animal to be in the kitchen where food is prepared. When all of her efforts proved fruitless, she told us she was going to call the police. This was the most ridiculous thing we'd heard all day. We were doing nothing wrong so we were not going to accept this behaviour so we told her to call them and that now we were not going to leave until they got here. She proceeded to call them and we continued our conversations.Spoiler alert! The police did not come, they had more important things to do than attend to a racist witch. The rain had stopped so we went outside to wait for the rest of our family to arrive. She followed us out and closed the doors behind her, standing in front of them to prevent us from entering the cafe again. This was quite funny since there was actually customers still inside and we weren't sure if they were going to be let out.We didn't care too much until one of the young children we had with us needed to go to the toilet. We weren't aware that the toilets were on the outside when we asked her to let the child use the toilet (we thought they were inside the cafe). She refused to open the doors even if it meant to deny a 6 year old to use the facilities. She just repeated that she'll wait until the police came. I realised the toilet were on the outside and we didn't even need her to access them (might I add the toilets are disgusting anyway).I do not recommend coming here if you don't want to be a victim of profiling and racism if you are POC. Or if you don't want to be robbed by those extortionate prices.Photos I've added is the dog and it's actual owner and the woman blocking the door to prevent us entering.

manager was extremely rude and refused to serve us before making racial insinuations about me and my family. it made us feel incredibly uncomfortable and i’m upset about the treatment that we received. would not recommend people to go here.

The manager at Lloyds Park Cafe in East Croydon displayed discriminatory behavior. A group of black Somali individuals peacefully occupied the cafe, some even made purchases, yet they were asked to leave on unfounded claims of disturbance and not buying anything (which was not the case). She also threatened to use a customer's dog in a racially insensitive manner. Despite our calm explanation for being in the cafe, she showed no compassion, even in pouring rain. This establishment exhibited rudeness, and I advise against visiting, as she even denied a young innocent girl access to the restroom

Staff here are so nice here! We pop by quite often and they are so friendly and really kind even though it’s always busy. When I ordered hot drinks, a staff (manager?) brought them for me to the outside table as I was with 2 little ones. Then he realised the hot chocolate was for my son, he went back in to add cold milk to cool it down. We were overwhelmed by their kindness! Thank you!

Place looks amazing with a great selection. It is right next to LLoyds park with some great seating indoors and outdoor. The Staffa re very friendly and it is a good spot for families to come for a picnic or a run and enjoy a coffee / tea, some cakes and snacks .Good to have this little place in croydon - tucked away from the maddening crowds.

What a pity. Great location, menu, potential, all let down by the Lloyd Park Lounge Café's disgustingly filthy toilets, lack of hand soap and complete disregard for hygiene and the health of their customers, despite having sufficient service staff.Avoid unless you like to acquire an illness, because you cannot clean your hands here, and who know when the sinks were last maintained - please see the photos to see what I mean.Absolutely indefensible!!
