Mithras Turkish Mediterranean Restaurant

The setting was warm and pleasant.

Mithras Restaurant is hands down one of the best dining experiences I’ve ever had in Croydon. We came with a group of 15 for a company event and everything was flawless from start to finish.

The mixed grill platter was incredible, full of flavour, perfectly cooked, and more than enough to share. The baklava and tea at the end were the perfect finish to an already amazing meal.

What really stood out was the service. The staff went above and beyond to make sure we were looked after, and the atmosphere was warm and welcoming.

If you’re in Croydon, Mithras is an absolute must visit. Exceptional food, outstanding service, and a place you’ll definitely want to return to.

We had houmous, guvec, chicken shish and Adana, together with some red wine and wrapped up with baklava, raki and Turkish coffee. All of it wholeheartedly recommended.

Lovely place, food was fantastic - warm bread, delicious dipping sauces and the mixed grill for two was fabulous. I always enjoy coming here. Service from Nishan was lovely also, was friendly and attended to our needs promptly

Visited here for dinner recently and all I can say about this place is that it’s absolutely brilliant!!! The food was tasty and had a beautiful flavour from being cooked over charcoal, tastiest Turkish cuisine in Croydon!! The Turkish lady who works there has great mannerisms and made our visit extra special by being attentive and helping with the menu as it was our first time visiting but definitely won’t be the last!!!

Awesome good food with great taste and portions. This is not our first visit and I can say nothing has changed from previous visits.
Very much recommend for a nice peaceful environment where you can spend a great time with family and friends.

I’ve been a customer of Mithras for over 5 years but never left feedback before. After dining with my family yesterday, I felt it was the right time to share my experience.

The food was absolutely outstanding — the taste was incredible and, in my opinion, even better than many local Turkish restaurants I’ve tried. Prices are very reasonable, the environment is warm and welcoming, and the staff make you feel at home.

I will definitely be coming back to celebrate our anniversary here. Highly recommended!

the staff were lovely upon arrival. i got my food as take out and was offered turkish tea while i waited which was really sweet!
the owner/manager were sat at the table next to me and introduced themselves and insisted i took some baklava as well (on the house)
this kind of service is so welcoming and makes the whole experience so different! if i lived in croydon i would visit again!
the food itself was a humongous portion, and exactly what i wanted as i was craving authentic turkish food. if i am ever in croydon again i will definitely be visiting again!!

ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!! Me and my partner always passed in front of this restaurant and said “we have to try it one day”. Today we did it and oh my gosh what an amazing place, don’t even know where to start. The staff welcomed us so nicely and politely, very accommodating when we asked if we could stay in the tables outside ( which I definitely recommend in a nice summer evening, the colourful light crest a nice atmosphere), they cleaned the table as soon as we sat (the table was clean but he said it was just because of the dust, which I found incredibly professional). Then we order two starters: Halloumi and feta and parsley pastry, and two mains: chicken shish and lamb casserole , the taste was something out of this world, the flavours of the meat marinated into perfection with the vibrant colours of the salad was just a match made in heaven. Definitely a Croydon gem. We will comeback for sure. A massive well done to all staff.

This place offers a really tasty selection of authentic Turkish dishes, and the decor is lovely—it feels cozy and well thought out. The staff are super friendly and make you feel right at home. The food tastes amazing and really hits the spot.

The only thing is, it’s a bit on the pricey side if you’re going for a full meal. Still, it’s definitely worth it if you’re craving genuine Turkish flavors!

Had lunch here today and all we can say is that this have been the best Turkish food we’ve had so far! Excellent service from the waitresses and kudos to the chef for the delightful meal. Thank you so much for the complimentary baklava. We’ll definitely keep coming back here???
