WORST. ANNIVERSARY. EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My dear husband and I, who may I mention - is DYING, decided to celebrate our golden anniversary here (possibly our last together due to his stage of terminal rectal cancer). We were disappointed, to say the very least, at the dirt poor standard of service, hospitality and basic manners. The waitress rolled her eyes when we politely asked to discard the service charge, but quite frankly, they called it upon themselves. Nibbles = platter, starter = elevenses. Didn't get asked for ID, I'm sure they don't challenge 25. COVID posters in the toilets made me feel young, and brought me back to a place where my dear Henry was healthy.

I asked H how his ravioli was, he said - and I quote 'as runny as my shits after being exposed to gluten'. Carbonara was stodgy and the cheese was funny. Didn't even ask if either of us have an allergy, although we both purposefully wear pins that make it very clear of our gluten intolerence. Let's just say I thought Henry had recently purchased a trumpet.

P.S Romeo was spotted, but didn't even have the decency to greet well paying customers.

Regards,

5/5 stars!

Food was lovely, pasta cooked perfectly ‘al dented’. The atmosphere was calm as not busy tonight.

The owner Julian was very personable and enjoyed conversation with all his customers.

All of the dishes we sampled on the menu were delicious and we will definitely go back soon!

Although we went mid week and it was very quiet. The food was really good. Pizzas were so tasty and fresh. The truffle sauce pasta was unreal, only let down was the pasta being too al dente. Overall a lovely place.

The food was amazing but the service was terrible. We were the first ones in but it took a long time for the waitress to come over and take our drink order. We then waited a while before she came to take our food order. After we'd finished our main course our plates were cleared with no smiles or engagement with us. No mention of dessert, we were just left while she tidied up the drawers so we decided to go! We were given the pay machine to pay and she walked off leaving us to do it. As we walked out not a word! No good night or thank you at all! See seemed more interested in clearing up! (There were still 2 tables of people there).
Such a shame as the food was so lovely. I've never written a review before but so surprised by the poor service I had to on this occasion.

So let’s start with the pro- their pizza is really tasty Italian style and they do a decent take away offer some weekdays where you get a pizza and drink for £10, bargain.
Ordering take away from them is a bit difficult, they don’t give an estimated time of when it will be ready but call you when tour order is ready to collect, I find this really odd and doesn’t always work for us so we end up just going in to order rather than by phone. Also we turned up this evening (they’re supposed to be open as it says on their door and on google) only to find that they were closed. Luckily there’s another great Italian 2 mins down the road!

Ordered a takeaway away Pizza from here. Very nice authentic Pizza with excellent service. The venue looks like a pleasant quirky place of charming quality - highly recommended.

The Chef here is incredible. I dined in for the first time after being a take away customer over a few years. The food, ambience and staff are faultless. The pizza here never fails to excite my taste buds, and take me back to Italy where I have waited 2.5 hours in a queue for Pizza, and yet this is better and on my doorstep! This local gem is worth a visit, put it at the top of your list and go. The truffle pasta was absolute perfection. Thank you Chef for an incredible meal once again.

The best calzone I've ever had in Croydon! Wish they were open for longer hours!

Took over 1.5 hours to deliver and arrived cold. Very poor customer service on phone when I called to complain.

The best pizza in the Croydon and Bromley area. The dough is soft and crispy and delicious and the toppings are done with good quality ingredients. We are lucky to live round the corner. Forget your big chains like Dominoes this is proper grown up pizza and a real taste of
