The service is very good, the atmosphere is great and the food is incredible.The fish and chips was the best fish pub fish and chips I’ve ever had. Chips cooked to perfection, fish was nice & crispy, and a selection of sauces including a curry sauce which was really tasty. I also had the chicken supreme another time, which I wasn’t sure about, but turned out to also be delicious as well. Even the vegetables were tasty.The two times I’ve been I also haven’t waited more than 15 minutes for my food.The price is kind of high but reflects in the quality of the food. I will most certainly be going back here, often.

I booked a Sunday lunch here with my partner and my dog, as the roast menu looked good and it was a local dog-friendly pub. My partner ordered the 3 meat roast and I ordered the pork belly with a couple of drinks on the side.My partner's food arrived first, and after about 30 minutes, mine still hadn't arrived. Our server (we didn't catch your name, sorry) had to go to the kitchen several times to push through my order and I ended up getting my food just over an hour later, when my partner had finished eating his. It took so long for my food to get there that I was eating scraps off his plate, which was a little embrrassing - especially as I watched literally the whole of the restaurant getting served before I got my food.This is not the fault of the server who was absolutely lovely and rectified the issue for us by the end of our stay, but it was a little silly when even the manager (I presume they were the manager due to them being dressed differently to everyone else) came up to ask us how everything was when my partner had a plate full of food and I just had a drink with me - do people often come in and their partner order food while they have absolutely nothing other than a drink? Shouldn't that have struck out as a little strange to the servers, and the issue could have been flagged earlier?Regardless, the food was good. The portion sizes are quite large so you are getting value for money, and there's plenty of variety on the plate that sets it apart from other roasts I've had at other pubs. All in all, the food was fine, but I was sorely let down by how my missing order was handled and while it got a happy ending, that was due to the diligence of our server. I would hope that this incident was an isolated one and I fully appreciate it was a mistake, but hopefully it has set in motion some protocols or process to avoid it happening again to someone else.

My wife and I had our intimate wedding reception/party, booking The Summerhouse (comfortably holds 30) and it was great! The communications beforehand with the booking was smooth and easy via email. It’s slightly quicker to call and get things done that way if needed. On the day the room was set up perfectly, the food was fantastic and tasted great. All our friends and family were very complimentary and enjoyed everything. There’s a wide range of drinks to choose from, the food options are great and most importantly the service we received from the team such as Daniel Tiger, Salim and co was exceptional. Would absolutely do another gathering/event here, as would my friends and family. I would definitely recommend this place to people.Big shoutout once again to Daniel Tiger, Salim, the rest of the team and Maggie. Thanks again.Vegetarian options: Vegetarian options are good!Parking: Street parking that you have to pay for if you want to be nearby, easy to pay for using the “Pay by Phone” app. Free after certain hours.

We had our wedding reception in the Summer House and it was perfect. We really enjoyed the space, which is beautiful, the food was delicious and service was great. It was everything we wanted and could have asked for. I'd highly recommend and would host another gathering there in the future!

I've just been to The Grange for lunch. The food was excellent - and I'm a difficult person to feed because of assorted allergies. Excellent crispy gluten free fish and chips. Best of all, our waitron Will was lovely - steered me through to a good choice from the menu, readjusted windows etc. It felt that nothing was too much trouble and his friendly smile made it a meal out to be repeated soon!
Great pub with an amazing selection of grub and beers, staff super friendly and decor is beautiful! Proper English boozer!

Standards seem to have declined of late...A Welsh rarebit starter was so bitter it was inedible (I can attest, I tried a piece). The excuse: 'it's the batter, it's meant to be like that'. Er No!!More recently of the three never-varying ales on tap, only the London Original was drinkable. The Youngs London Special was decidedly off, tasting distinctly of vinegar. Worse, the bar kept in on even when made aware.The Proper Job was little better, clearly also poorly kept.

Been here a few times and always enjoy the atmosphere & food!My sister was visiting from abroad and wanted a Sunday roast, and the Grange did not disappoint. Our server, Ana, lovely and made us feel so welcome, she ensured we were looked after. Such a lovely local gem.
