Recently popped in with my grandmother .. late Friday ; very different to how I remember. My grandmother commented on how lovely the ambiance was. I smiled and went to the toilet.After returning from an extremely clean toilet , ( men’s pubs toilets arnt normally this tidy and fresh!) I was welcomed with a big hello and what would we like to order firstly drinks wise.The man and his staff were warm , not rushing my grandmother and myself around , and when she asked many questions about drinks and food ( which she usually does bless her ! ) the staff were more than happy to answer , and give a deeper explanation of certain drinks and deals , this all during a relatively busy time. Which in fact is more impressive given the circumstances.All in all a lovely evening and I don’t normally bring her to pubs ..however on the base of this experience ; I Shal be returning here with Her; and hopefully other places can be quite as charming.Sincerely ; H. ☺️??

I love everything about The Plough. The warmth of all staff is so welcoming. Bonnie in particular is so kind, thoughtful and helpful. Bonnie always makes our visit special and I can’t wait to go back. The nachos are the best I have ever had. I always order the Sharer portion but too good to share!! All for me.

I love everything about The Plough. The location on Cattlegate Road is fantastic. Particularly magical at night with the fairy lights and in summer with a plethora of beautiful hanging baskets. The staff are all so welcoming and make our visit truly special. Bonnie in particular is so kind, thoughtful and friendly. As for the nachos they are insane and too good to share!!! Can’t wait to go back.

Had the most amazing festive meal yesterday. The food was superb and plenty of it. The staff were very attentive, friendly and treated us so well. Our favourite pub and our best ever meal there. We were treated to complimentary bubbles for being the first of the festive menu customers. A big thank you for making our visit so enjoyable

We had a delicious Sunday lunch after our Christmas shopping. They found us a table in the bar even though they were really busy. The food was excellent including multiple gluten free options and the service was really friendly. Great experience.

Waited over an hour for our food, tables who were seated after us got their meals, when we asked we kept being told our ticket was next. When the food did come it was lovely so that can’t be faulted. Every question we had the waiter had to go and ask someone, fair enough if he was new but we’ve seen him there previous times. Even the table next to us kept asking what certain desserts came with and he just kept saying “I’m not sure” Also I feel the children’s meals are a little stingy, two chicken strips that aren’t that big to fill a 8yr old up?

Waited over 45 minutes for my food just for it to come burnt. I didn’t mention to the staff as I was tired of waiting so long but very disappointed. The pub itself looks very pretty and clean but food isn’t worth it in my

My first visit and it certainly did not disappoint! My friend and I were in for a real treat. A very enjoyable ambience in the most comfortable surroundings. Plenty of parking spaces, which is very important to me. Clean cloakroom. This will be highly recommendef to my friends, most of whom are ladies that lunch! Thank you for my very pleasant dining experience!Parking: Easy to park in the large car park.

Sorry to say, GONE DOWN HILL.!This is based purly on their food.Fish & chips 15 plus quid and the fish is non existing, or bloody invisible..USED to enjoy this place after visiting the garding centres...but I guess service and quality is out the window and now its just about profit!!!!Vegetarian options: Limited to 1 item as a main meal...
