We came here for a friends birthday meal, made a phone reservation, the lady on the phone was so accommodating as I had a mobility scooter, gave us a table by the door. The food was great and staff were very attentive- highly recommend this place.

We've tried so many Indian takeaways and restaurants in the area and have never been able to find real authentic and good quality Indian food until we found Tandoori Lounge. So happy we booked here for Valentines Day with a lovely live singer who was also taking requests. Apparently they do themed nights so definitely will be returning in the future, with friends and family!!

Brilliant night at this restaurant, definitely be looking out for their themed or event nights here too. Food was delicious and we all enjoyed trying different dishes. The staff were really helpful and knowledgeable in guiding us with the menu, because it is traditional Punjabi cuisine, there were lots we hadn’t tried before. Such a great vibe and fun night. We are looking forward to trying more dishes and taking the family back, thought the service was excellent. Highly recommend.

Myself and 2 friends were very disappointed with our first visit to the Tandoori Lounge and definitely won’t be returning or recommending to anyone else. We had 1 tastecard and we’re aware that the offer is 241 on starters, mains and desserts. We had decided that we would share the mains between the 3 of us but order a few side dishes as well. We were informed that this wasn’t allowed and that we all had to order a main each. Having been to many Indian restaurants before and shared dishes we were quite bemused as to why we were being this was the case. Nevertheless we ordered 3 mains. The calamari starter was so chewy it was virtually inedible, the curry was very bland and tasteless , the lamb was also slightly chewy so food was very dissatisfactory. The food is expensive and when the bill came and we asked if we could split it 3 ways we were told we couldn’t. Waiter just kept repeating “it’s what I’ve been told” when questioned on why we had to order the mains and why we couldn’t split the bill. There was zero atmosphere in the restaurant so it was an all round disappointing experience, and one we won’t be having again.

We hadn’t been out for months and are really glad we chose Tandoori Lounge to visit. Vibrant atmosphere, quite noisy at times, but we were in the mood for a laugh. The service was incredible and the waiting staff were very patient, helpful, attentive and smiley. The menu is different from a traditional Indian restaurant menu, so we had to ask for a lot of clarification. Also as we hadn’t seen our friends for ages, it took a long time to make our final decisions as we were chatting so much. The food was delicious and the crockery is very very stylish! The manager and her husband were available all evening and walked around the tables chatting with everyone. We very nearly booked there and then to go back the following Friday ( this evening) for Bollywood Night!! Theme nights happen now and then and we will go back for sure!

After starting the year in isolation it was great to get my foodie year up and running. For this I decided to stay local and enjoy some fabulous Punjabi Cuisine at my favourite Indian restaurant the Tandoori Lounge. I love their Punjabi style of food which is very different to your normal Indian restaurant. This is why I find it hard to understand when I see people turn up look at their menu and leave because if you love Indian food then you will love it here. We decided to go for an early evening table and on our arrival was given a very friendly welcome before being seated at our table. We started with a drink while we had a look at the menu. This consists of vegetarian , seafood , meat starters and mains , biryanis , rice dishes , breads and of course desserts. There is also a good selection of gluten free options just mention when ordering. For our starters we decided to order the Tandoori Vegetable Kebab and the Punjabi Rashmi Kebab with a delightful Mixed Raita on the side. These were both delicious and full of flavour and spice. It was now time to order our mains and we couldn’t resist the temptation of ordering our favourite dishes and also remember you can have each dish as spicy as you like. Again just mention when ordering. We chose the Jhinga Karahi a prawn dish mixed with herbs , spices , onions & peppers. The Tandoori Lounge Special Lamb cooked in a punjabi style gravy. To accompany these we chose the Sag Aloo , Jeera Rice and Tandoori Naan. Every dish was cooked perfectly with the flavours and spices of each dish spot on. Before dessert we had a little break which gave us a chance to have a catch up with owners Sukh & Haneet. They are a lovely couple who along with their young and friendly team try to provide you with the best dining experience possible. So now on to dessert and watch out pastry chefs as I had an absolute delicious Gulab Jamun Trifle a mix of gulab jamun , mango custard , cake , whipped cream , coconut & pistachio. We also had the Gulab Jamun which are soft doughnut’s soaked in a syrup. This brought to an end another fantastic visit to the Tandoori Lounge. Their punjabi style of food is absolutely delicious and so it will come as no surprise when I say that I would highly recommend a visit to this fabulous Indian restaurant. I for one will be looking to make a return visit in the near future. Thank You Sukh , Haneet and all the team for a fantastic evening and look forward to seeing you all again soon.
