Our visit to the Compasses was a very pleasant one. There were 12 of us out for birthday celebrations, for my husband and my mum. The table was good, set out in a long line and not separated into three tables of four people. A highchair was provided, as was requested for my grandson, and I didn't have to ask someone to go and find one for me. Our visit was made so much better by having a very lovely waitress, server, Caroline. She was very professional, but very friendly as well. Everyone's order was taken and delivered exactly as it was supposed to be. I am on Slimming World, so when I asked about potato alternatives, she was very quick to offer me alternative choices. Caroline came to our table and the first thing she asked was, who are our birthdays today? Then promptly wished them both a happy birthday. Based on our experience this visit, I wouldn't change a thing.

Amazing service! We had Keith serve our table tonight and he was absolutely brilliant - informative, friendly and professional - a real credit to the harvester team! He made me and my family feel very welcome and the food was lovely and fresh we did not wait long for it either , we cant wait to go again! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Decided to have a family meal out normally enjoy our visits here but not today. Seated at our table but was not told certain food was not available. Bread rolls were very doughy. Went to order our food, first no cod, then no chicken skewers. No acceptable on a Saturday evening. On top of this the refillable drinks machine was not providing fizzy drinks, brought to a staff members attention who said they would fix it, asked again twice before we were brought a bottle of Diet Coke. When the food came up it was very greasy. The bill came up and we were charged for both the refill and the bottle of soft drink. The staff member who served us was very nice but the rest of the meal was not up to standard.

We always have a great time here, the staff are so lovely and the food is great too. Keith was our waiter tonight and his service was excellent, he went the extra mile to ensure we had the best time! Thank you ?

very disappointing visit with my family of 11 for my husband birthday. Lots of food unavailable on the menu. One of the group is a pescatarian and there was no fish and chips for him, so he settled for ricotta/spinach pasta which he didn't really enjoy. I myself had the Halloumi fries, the battered was so greasy made me feel sick. No ice-cream for the kids. Salad bar now limited to how much you want on first visit as still being dished up by a waiter/waitress my grandson asked for more tomato his 9, he got 2 pieces. The only good thing on this visit was our table waitress she was lovely. I am a regular visitor, but Unfortately i won't be back anytime soon

Visited today as a group of 8 for a family birthday. Keith was our waiter. Harvester food is great value for money but i must say Keith made our visit. He was enthusiastic helpful and knowledgeable about the menu, a real credit to the venue.

Good menu with all meals priced to fit anyone's pockets. The portions are good..they still have someone to do your salad bowl..and that's ok..not as much choice from before..but it was still nice. Didn't wait too long. staff are friendly and helpful with the menu. Glad they still do free refills on soft drinks. Plenty of parking just remember to put in your numberplate.

Lovely food, fast service and the best waiter! We had Keith and he was so pleasant, attentive, funny and really on the ball. He got my daughter her own mini cutlery (been to this Harvester several times before and this has never happened). He made us feel valued and nothing was too much trouble. What a great person. Will come back time and time again just to see Keith.

I never order steak unless it's a specialised steakhouse, as I simply do not trust the chefs to cook the steak correctly (so many overcooked steak experiences). This however was absolutely spot on! A juicy, delicious, perfect medium rare! The chef that cooked that is a superstar! Salad bar as usual was my highlight, and made the usual mistake of eating too much of it before the main course - it's simply to tempting, with all that colourful, fresh & crisp produce on display!
