Awful experience. I thought I was lucky when the place was empty upon my arrival but unfortunately the Costa staff were just chatting with cinema staff for 5 minutes before beginning service and then took an additional 10 minutes to (poorly) make a small coffee. Would recommend to Stalin and people who are mean to animals.

No one can make coffee here.

I love a Costa, it is my favorite of all the high street coffees and to have a Costa in the cinema so you can grab a cappuccino prior to the film is fab. Haven't used it for food as we tend to eat before or after the film at one of the restaurants in Kingston but definitely an advantage for hot drinks. The staff are always friendly and as quick as they can be given they are making the drinks fresh for each person.

The Costa branch inside Kingston's Rotunda cinema complex - diagonally opposite the train station - has a slightly eerie, Edward Hopper-type atmosphere at times. It's where people invariably rendezvous if several people are coming from different directions to watch a film. And it has that look and feel that reminds you of the coffee shops at Heathrow or Gatwick's terminals - peopled by slightly lost souls, waiting, waiting and waiting. It would make a good film, but nothing much happens. There's a communal glazed look as you stare across the cinema concourse to the place where the popcorn is bought. The coffee is typical Costa - ie better than Starbucks, not quite as good as Nero - and the seating is a mix of cream-coloured hard-backed chairs and slightly comfier red ones, with a bit of padding. But there's little life or vibrancy to it. A rendezvous, yes. But a pleasing spot to while away any serious time, er, no.

Starbucks could have afforded more space for their shop. It is crammed with people, not tidy and queues are huge.

Absolutely rude staff! Very unwelcoming, i think her name was Paula or Paulina? She looked in a mood and did not show any attention to customers or work! Furthermore, workers looked unprofessional with no apron or clean clothing! not impressed, Definitely would not recommend!

Just inside the entrance to the Odeon cinema this is ideal for a coffee before or after a screening or just to meet up with friends. The staff are happy & helpful & the place is kept very tidy. I have been told by staff that some nights they may stay open later There isn't a dedicated cafe wc so you will have to use the cinemas disabled wc near by.
