We have been going here for years and sadly, it needs some serious attention before they lose regular customers. The food is exceptional, I have never had a bad meal here. But the service is nothing like it used to be. They are so understaffed out front that it is frustrating. Earlier this week we went for drinks, it took ages to give our order let alone get them. Returned today at 12 noon to be told they weren’t opening for another 30 minutes. Just bluntly told with no explanation. We went elsewhere. That is just very, very poor customer service.

Went to a birthday dinner last night, there were 9 of us total. We ordered a round of drinks to begin with, the wait time was average however the consistency of the drinks was poor. For example we ordered two of the Comptoir Cosmo's, they tasted completely different & also looked different. That particular drink was quite disappointing so we tried a round of Passion Fruit Martini's which I would definitely buy again. We waited over an hour for our food, everyone at the table was quite disgruntled that we were left waiting for so long and weren't given any updates or apologies for the delay. When it finally arrived the food came out separately and one of us didn't receive food at all! We then had to ask the waiter for the missing food, they apologised for the poor service due to the tickets being printed out of order?! If that was the case they should have checked with the table that everyone had received everything they had originally ordered. Luckily the food made up for the very long wait, I chose the Chicken Taouk Wrap along with Falafel & Steamed Couscous. Everything tasted great & was very fresh. For dessert I had the Mango & Vanilla Cheesecake however I requested it without the pomegranate seeds & pistachios. It was really light & fluffy in consistency. When it was time to pay for the bill we were shocked with the 10% service charge! Due to the long wait times & inattentiveness with our food we thought they would compensate us by discounting the bill, obviously that wasn't the case. Overall the food was great, however it was let down by the poor service.

Poor serious Health and Saftey Hazard on the terrace was here and almost broke my foot other staff members were blasé about this and didn’t care let alone fix the problem on the terrace BE CARFEFUL

The service was more than horrible. We got the wrong drinks and they accepted us to change our orders because these drinks were already prepared. The dishes were loaded with rice and you have to search for the meat. The lamb was too dry. The bill came with a 15% service charge and each of us paid £9.45 for one non-alcoholic drink. Surely they added the wrong drinks to our bill which we did not have. None of us will ever go back there anymore. At the end, we knew why this restaurant was the only one with available seats. ??????????

Like all restaurants on the riverside, the location is the USP. This is a chain and the quality of food was fairly good and what one might expect. We went on one of the first proper hot days of the summer and they didn't seem entirely ready for the customer volume. Appeared to be a lot of new or temp staff on. As a result table service was a bit hit and miss but (who appeared to be) the floor & general manager did a sterling job so it was OK in the end. Hopefully, this is sorted now. Recommend you book at peak time and when hot. We queued >30 minutes.

We had a lovely lunch at comptoir libanais sitting on the terrace overlooking the river. The mix grill & Chicken kofta burger were very delicious. The service was quick, Benny looked after us & ensured we had a great time. the other staff were friendly & efficient.

I booked a Mezze Monday for tonight meal 18 th July 22 at Kingston branch on your website for my birthday meal with my husband and daughter for 6.30 pm. Attached is a photo of my booking . As it was very hot today I called before leaving to check restaurant was still open and was told yes . We arrived and was ordering our meal Mezze Monday deal , and I was told that the Mezze deal was no longer an offer that the specials had changed. I explained that it was on your website when I booked the table. We where told after a conversation with the manager that we would get the Monday Mezze deal, not a good start to our meal. We also ordered main meals. We ordered drinks and my husbands glass of wine was not delivered to the table. I then had to ask three more times before his drink came which was about 20 minutes after we got our drinks. The Mezze came out after 40 mins of waiting. We finished our starts the Mezze and then my daughter had to ask for our plates to be collected from our table and told waiting staff that we where ready for our main meal. We waited till after 8.30pm and still no main meals came . By this time our birthday evening meal was ruined , my daughter got up to go again to explain to the manager what had happened and that we where very disappointed and upset on having to wait so long for our meal, repeatedly asking for glass of wine , that we couldn’t wait any longer to have our main meal as it had got so late so the manager agreed for us not to pay for our meal. When I booked the meal on website I notified in the notes that one guest was gluten free. When the Mezze starter came I was not told which starters I could eat I was given some cut up cucumber slices to use to dip into the humous. The last couple of times I have visited this restaurant the manager had served the food up and explained which dishes I could eat. Very very dissatisfied and we will not be coming back .
