Superb. A little bit of Germany in England. And a chance to practice my German! Its a shame we live so far away - Newcastle - but we'll definitely be back.

If you have never been to Germany, then this is great. If you have been to Germany, particularly Bayern and managed to try the amazing fat food, then this is not that good. It has good beers. Probably the best bet is to go to sausages. I found the schnitzels a bit dry and soulless. The käsespätzle was a bit of a disappointment. Expensive for the quality. Good location with views over the Thames.

Enjoyed German Biers ? with relaxed atmosphere next to thameslink river, wish food/drinks prices weren't so high, otherwise I'd give 5 stars.

We were taken here by our son who thought we would like it - he was right. Food was tasty and oh so filling and the beer was good. Music was a bit loud for my tastes but that is most likely me. Would go again without a doubt.

Was für eine fantastische Einrichtung! So refreshing to see a German restaurant, serving the most authentic food. The Currywurst was incredible, the Veal Schnitzel was lovely a crispy, the potato salad was unique but gorgeous (especially on a warm day). The mash and Sauerkraut were bloody delicious. To top this all off the service was incredible, even on a really busy summer day. Well impressed!

Our absolute favourite in Kingston. The service is like no other, the food is amazing every time and the atmosphere is just great. We need more places like this in Kingston to make it a better place.

I've really started to warm up to the idea of drinking here more regularly - been to the Richmond one a few times but it's taken 6 years to try this one.I'm tired of a lot of the pubs in the area, while I've often rated them highly, the beer has become universally astronomical in price, that you may as well take the punt and spend £7 on a German number in proper glassware that's clean and served how it should be.Wash down that pretzel or giant pork Knuckle with a pint or stein of delicious cold frosty lager, table service by friendly staff, with a secluded river view raised away from the passers by. Dog friendly throughout, treats and water brought to our little one.

Super easy to get a walk in table. The service was attentive and fast. I wish you could mix and match some bits from the menu but the choice is great. We went for a platter for 2. We came out full. Totally worth it. The beers were also on point. Can't recommend enough

Fantastic food and amazing staff. This was our first visit to this restaurant but most definitely wont be our last. Next time we plan to go when the weather is better so we can take advantage of the veranda and views over the Thames.

THE place to go on a sunny weekend day. We love the terrasse, and the food anyway. Can be really crowded though

Excellent location adjacent to the river, helpful and friendly staff, authentic Bavarian/Austrian cuisine, I and my mother had the Wiener Schnitzel which was heavenly, wonderful German bier and a Black Forest Gateaux to die for, in the words of Graz's most famous son...'I'll be back'.

We only popped in for a quick drink but will definitely stay longer next time. Great riverside location and really chilled friendly atmosphere.

Below average German food. Paulana beer was good, but not pulled properly. Kalbschnizel and Schweineschnitzel were below average. Karoffelsalat (potato salad) was ok. Vegetable salad was poor. Overall, so sad to see such food served as German food which is mostly very tasty. Definitely, not done by someone who knows German food.

Terrible food! Ordered vegan bratwurst with sauerkraut and potato mash, a bretzel and a side salad. Sauerkraut was grey and inedible, the sausage had barely seen a pan and the mash was some re-heated and chopped up boiled potatoes. Bretzel was hard, dry and also inedible. The side salad was ok, but only just. What is going on? This used to be a good, fairly authentic Bavarian restaurant. Now it is completely overpriced and serves up horrible food. The waitress, however, was very attentive and helpful. She deducted 50% of the price. Sadly, it was not even worth that.
