Great find on the outskirts of Kingston near the Norbiton Station. Selection of surprisingly good food. Place it well maintained and inviting. Staff are bubbly firendly and very nice. Look forward to my next visit. Well done Black Horse!

The black horse is a excellent pub, from fun events going on, to dining it’s a pleasant pub with a lovely homely atmosphere. Great for all the family including the dog ?.

The Black Horse is easily my favourite pub in Kingston, particularly the effort they go to for their events and the really welcoming and friendly staff. Leia in particular has always been very helpful!

Great pub for food, drink and atmosphere. Frequently hosts interesting events, they had a dog show, a rum party with a regge band and also host a life drawing night for example, and are constantly trying new things to please and entertain their customers, with great success! Food is also great with the vegan burger being my favorite. Highly recommended, the black horse is starting to become a real community gem.

I wish I could give zero or minus stars. Probably the worst dining experience I've ever had. And they weren't even busy!Started off with us being given the wrong menus, so we had to choose differently. The food came a 'version ' of what was on the menu, smothered in a sauce that was advertised as a 'dip'. My son nearly gagged. We were offered a replacement but as we waited a ridiculously long time already we said no.Then a very long 45 min wait for main course, to be told they had to make more roast potatoes... Surely the decent thing would have been to come and tell us that. When they came they were ( all three of them) soggy anyway! As for the 'crackling' on the roast pork that they advertised ... Well I've eaten crispier ice cream, non existent is the correct word for that. The root veg mash made me feel sick. The Yorkshire pudding, although it looked good, tasted like a bath sponge. The service was horrendous.Service, food, attitude , value for money ALL awful. Not worth anywhere near the £102 it cost.I have no positive things to say.

Appears to be under new management - certainly so in the last few months. New manager is not the most welcoming of individuals. Extremely curt & lacking any charm. Service with a sneer almost. Gives off the feeling that as a customer, you are an annoyance. The food is overpriced (steak more expensive than the Ivy) & no great shakes. Venue/location good. Some serving staff okay, but managers abruptness appears to be catching with others in the team. If your looking to be welcomed to a good local, try somewhere else.
