We had a delicious lunch and were thankful to be able to sit at one of the corner tables.

recently had the pleasure of dining at Barafina restaurant in King's Cross, and I must say, Sydney's service truly elevated the entire experience. From the moment we walked in, Sydney greeted us with a warm smile and made us feel incredibly welcome. Her attentiveness throughout the meal was exceptional; she anticipated our needs before we even had to ask. Sydney's knowledge of the menu was impressive, and her recommendations were spot-on. Not only was the food delicious, but Sydney's friendly demeanour and genuine passion for hospitality made our lunch unforgettable. I highly recommend visiting Barafina and experiencing Sydney's exceptional service firsthand. She is truly an asset to the restaurant.

Small portions, high prices, harried by staff who were constantly clearing plates and moving things along.

Great quality, not cheap but very enjoyable. The restaurant is busy but the waiting staff were friendly, informative and efficient. Like most customers we sat at the long bar with a full view of the kitchen. Seeing the prawns being cooked for someone else persuaded us to try them as a starter - not cheap at £21 for 5 prawns heavy on garlic and delicious. Ham croquetas and pan con tomate made up the other starters - both excellent. Main courses were hake and clams and marinated seabass and shared a portion of patates bravas. We pushed on for unnecessary desserts of bunyols and torrija - one would have been ample to share. The wine list is good - we had glasses of the Vina Zorzal which was good. The staff went out of their way to explain how things were to be prepared and were very professional. It’s not cheap but it is very good.

Great food, great staff. BUT the feeling of pressure to finish up so table could be turned around in 1:30hrs not a great ending to an otherwise good service. The menu is expensive relative to portion size. Difficult to justify going back.

Big fan of Barafina and have used the Soho branch for many years. The Borough Yards restaurant has previously been very good but on this occasion it was quite disappointing. Food was pretty good but the service was poor. Waitresses not knowing how to open a bottle of wine, cleared our plates and table mats. Declined dessert but ordered coffee after which our meat course arrived. Bill took forever to pay. Staff trying to multi task badly. The concept of a counter is to be near the action not ignored.

The clean and stylish restaurant is accompanied by traditional Spanish dishes. You are able to sit at the bar and see for yourself how some of the dishes (this may include what you order) are handled and cooked. The restaurant is very clean! The service is friendly. A lady explained almost every dish to me as I was not familiar with some of the Spanish dish names. The restaurant offers special dishes. The oysters we ordered were used three ways. They were as fresh as the prawns. The cheese balls and fried calamari were not greasy. The fish and chicken were very tender. The flavoring of each dish was carefully cooked and prepared rather than simply sprinkled with something. Prices are moderate for London and worth a special trip!

Great food. I would recommend the tortilla and the courgette flower with goatcheese.I had really high hopes coming here, and I think it was just a bit under my expectations to get a 5/5. Never the less a nice place that I would recommend visiting if you are craving tapas.

This is a very pleasant restaurant away from the main crowds of Borough Market.Don't be put off by the small main menu, the daily specials are the stars.Tasty, decent sized tapas-style dishes with some really good larger mains to share.Great service sitting at the bar watching the cooks go about their craft.Highly recommended.

Updated with a newer review as ended up going there again yesterday and this time with pictures! Everything was amazing as always - the gambas in olive oil and garlic was amazzzing so we’re the croquettes and the tortilla.Another outpost from the Barrafina crew and the food as always didn’t disappoint

Lovely experience, sat at the counter, had an ice cold estrella served in a frozen glass, we had a selection of small plates, the croquettes were amazing, we also had a monkfish tail, which was huge

We recently had a delicious lunch at Barrafina. Very chic and pleasant atmosphere, staff were friendly and welcoming. As we had a baby, we were provided a big table with a high chair and space to park the pram.Food was very impressive, portions were plentiful. The seafood was fresh and well seasoned. Our favourite was the peppers which is a spanish staple, and prawns as they were super juicy. The restaurant was big and very pram friendly. Has a changing area for baby. We enjoyed our meal a lot, and will be coming back for another special occasion.Kid-friendliness: Has space to park pram, highchair available, nappy change availableWheelchair accessibility: Wide space between tables, accessible toilet
