Two of my menu choices were unavailable. Particularly surprising that a simple sirloin steak was not at 6.30 in the evening. Also no cider. I usually like Cafe Rouge but this was a disappointment.

I used to like Cafe Rouge (part of my student days ?), but the one last night was a waste of money. Truffle pasta tasted bland and not like truffle. I had to ask for truffle flavour and then got some truffle oil half way through meal.Steak was ok but also not pink as advertised but more well done, so also a bit sad. Sweet Potato fries were crunchy and tasty. Service was friendly but you could tell she was at the end of her shift and tired. View of St Paul’s was amazing. My motto when eating out is that it should be better than what I can cook at home. Otherwise it feels like a waste of money which applies here. I could have done a better truffle pasta and steak at home. So wouldn’t recommend to go here.

Went for afternoon tea as I was given a gift voucher for my birthday. Absolutely terrible experience- do not waste your money on this (or buying this as a gift for anyone). The food at the afternoon tea was good however that’s where it ended. Our waitress was very unfriendly and unwilling to help. The teapots we got given (bearing in mind afternoon tea is one of their key menu items) had no lids- they had saucers balancing ontop. So when you try to pour your tea, it falls off. The teapots were also chipped. When we asked our waitress for a new teapot with a lid on it, she said no. She said she can bring us another teapot but it also won’t have a lid on it, as all the teapots are broken with no lids. There were a number of tables around us, with the same teapots with no lids- that also complained. The service was exceptionally slow and all the waiters/waitresses were all just standing behind the bar. Empty dishes stayed on our table for ages after finishing eating/drinking.Please don’t waste your money on an afternoon tea here.

Had the fix dinner. I like the chips thinner this way. Soup and chicken are good too.

Great meal with a window seat that gave me a view of St Pauls! The restaurant is also very close to the river and millennium bridge, so it's ideal for a walk along the river afterwards.

Score based purely on service. They took ages to take our order. My wife had to actually go and ask a waiter to come.We just asked for drinks, but he then forgot to bring the drinks. We had to remind him. The cafe wasn't even busy. Can the café explain why we have to pay a service charge for poor service?

We enjoyed our FRENCH style ENGLISH High Tea. A delicious change from cucumber sandwiches. Great atmosphere. The staff could be a tad more attentive and maybe even friendly? (Some coloured pencils for our little restless people would have been great!). But, thank you!
