I decided to throw my fiancé’s 30th surprise birthday party here and I couldn’t be more pleased. The atmosphere was perfect for a 1920’s themed party. Ruby did a fantastic job of organizing the event, from providing a customized food & drinks menu based on their seasonal options, organizing a dj, and set up. It was a wonderful experience and everyone that attended loved the space. Food was also raved about! They went above and beyond.

We had such a great party here! The venue is so sophisticated and the cocktails delicious and expertly made! We decided to order canapés as well which were plentiful and super yummy. We had a 20s theme and it fitted perfectly with the venue. Ruby and team were so nice on the day and easy to deal with . I can highly recommend for a private party, or off course for some delicious cocktails any evening ! Great value for money too!

Wow!!!Absolutely LOVE this place and have done since I first walked in.Art Deco heaven, amazing cocktails.....The staff are all polite and courteous....Great place for a date.Would HIGHLY recommend

An absolutely amazing NYE with the Fontaine's team, the live music, the drinks, the countdown. All fantastic. Special shout-out to Ruby and Benjamin. Both a joy to meet and everything was perfect. Can't wait to go again.

Appalled by the way I was treated in this place and from looking at the many other reviews regarding Ruby's behaviour I’m clearly not alone..Upon arrival I asked if there was a table available for 3 - the owner Ruby (with red hair) coldly said to me “…maybe?” Her manner was like I had requested something deeply disturbing. I asked “is that ok?” as I was so taken aback by her attitude and snootiness, her response was “we’ll see.” She then went on to scowl, sigh, huff and puff. It was as if I should feel lucky to be there.Opposite me was a table of 2, Ruby was abrupt and spiky when serving them also - the couple exchanged a knowing look with me and laughed at the situation because it was so surreal.This was of course very alarming. When my partner arrived I calmly explained to him (in a very matter of fact manner) what had happened and that I was upset by her rudeness. Ruby then proceeded to approach me aggressively and said:“Excuse me, did I just hear that you’ve called me rude?”“Yes, that’s right.”“Well you’re wrong, I wasn’t rude. You won't be served drinks and you can forget about the film.” (A screening being held there that I had booked).She didn’t need to tell me this as I couldn’t stand being there for even a moment longer.Judging by the way Ruby responds to the many other complaints of her behaviour on here, she’s clearly not self aware and not fit to work in hospitality. I look forward to the inevitable response, let's see what mental gymnastics she employs to deny or justify this stinking behaviour.Avoid at all costs.

Best menu in London, Ruby blew me away with her attention to detail and made me feel special like I was the only one in the room.I also found the furniture extremely comfortable and felt very aroused by the aroma and decor, even the lighting was perfectly set for the atmosphere of the bar.Rubys attire seriously compliments the theme of the bar especially the way she styles her hair.All the staff are amazing particularly impressed by the skills of the bartenders, watching them do their thing was mesmerising.All in all I fell like I could spend days drinking in this bar and would never want to leave.

We hosted a private party at Fontaine’s last night for my girlfriend’s birthday in the tiki bar downstairs. We had the most wonderful night of music, cocktails, burlesque and Elvis impersonators!The owner Ruby and all of the staff went way above and beyond to make the night special. All that mattered to them was that we had a good night and we felt totally looked after. The security guard there was one of the nicest people I’ve ever met and the whole evening couldn’t have gone better.The cocktails are some of the best we’ve had and the whole bar is beautifully decorated down to the smallest detail. A truly unique bar and an east London gem.

I loved the place, they have a wide range of options and the staff were very friendly. Some archon and a judge or smth kept watching me tho. I know they’re really strict or rules here but I didn’t expect them to take it THIS seriously ? I think they tried to be slick but failed, I mean an A for Effort ??

I love Fontaine’s. Have been there many times. I was there last night for the film club and the atmosphere and cocktails were on point. Ruby the owner is lovely and she and the cocktail barman Ben are brilliant at what they do. Will no doubt be back in the near future.
