Upscale steakhouse with corresponding prices. Both the ribeye and sirloin were great. It's quite a large restaurant, but somehow still felt cozy.

I have been to a few of their restaurants around London and have always found them a great place to eat. Air street is deceptively large, nicely laid out and has an art deco feel. In general the food is very good with a large and varied choice. On this occasion, my wife’s fish was beautiful, my chateaubriand, having the shape of a gnarled tree branch looked less than appetising and would have benefited from being sliced. It was a bit tough in places, but it is meat and sometimes you are going to get that. But if I was a chef I would be looking at the meat and think, how can I make that more appealing. The service also was not as good as the past few times, a bit rushed, not so attentive and if I had picked up a plate with a fair amount of meat left I would be asking why.

I love this Hawksmoor, it’s my favourite. The atmosphere is cosy even tho the restaurant is big. There are plenty of staff and they are all very attentive and are on hand to help with any questions you have. The food is so delicious as are the cocktails. I would highly recommend this restaurant ?

This restaurant used to be great but not anymore. Went today for Sunday lunch - it was stone cold. We went earlier this month for my partners birthday and the fillet steak was inedible. Both times the items were removed from the bill but both lunches ruined. We used to love this restaurant but not anymore. I wouldn’t recommend or return in the future. There is no quality control and staff generally are uninterested.

Phenomenal. An absolute pleasure to dine at this restaurant, unquestionably the best chateaubriand i have ever tasted, and the parsnip puree with bacon was up there with one of the best sides I have been lucky enough to taste. Whiskey Cocktails were to die for and the staff were very friendly. £285 bill worth every single penny. 10/10 recommend.

So disappointed. Over priced and quality really wasn’t great. Felt like the food was sitting out and the coffees were undrinkable. Did email the restaurant but no response. Food doesn’t justify price tag.

Don’t live in London so haven’t been to Hawksmoor since before my daughter was born 10 years ago. She’s old enough to enjoy it now so we went last night while in town to do a bit of Christmas shopping. Happy to say it was just as good as I remember it and we all had a fabulous time.

Honest review very disappointed had to write something on here we ate here on a Saturday early evening …. Got asked to sit in the bar area as we arrived 30 minutes early which is fine, twice I went to get a drink myself as service was not happening, twice I got told to ‘take a seat FELLA your get a drink ’ by Dr cool behind the bar only wanted a beer take him longer to talking to me then reach behind and get one………then got given a tin of unopened beer at our table !Come on….. least you can do is open it and pour it into a glass after wanting 7 quid for it. The staff dress code obviously informal, got low riding jeans with pants showing, dirty trainers with laces undone, jeans with holes in just didn’t warrant the amount of money and formality of the place being served by the local skate park community . Food was not great, starters were warm not hot, ribeye steak terrible, not cooked at all how we ordered, so we left it, side dishes are tiny, sauces are tiny, I asked for some more sauce to try and cover my second chip which we got charged, whatever…. Really disappointed us considering what they’re asking for in the bill. Just to comment our waitress was nice girl trying her best never bought any food over herself, someone else in trainers T-shirt bought starters out then a different person for main. Ok ………… The bill was 250 quid for two people including few beers, gins and tonics to be expected where we were, 12.5% service on top of the prices you’re looking in the menu. There are far better places for dinner especially for steak will not be coming back here that’s for sure

Extraordinarily poor value and mixed service. Arrived early for pre-theatre dinner and refused seating by brash, ill presented and ill mannered front of house staff basis who suggested I wait in the bar half explaining some version of a two-hour rule. In the event, we managed to work up a bill of £300 for two in under an hour in return for particularly average food and both overpriced and badly kept wine. We were seated opposite the bar area and service entrance to the kitchen and heard the staff complain about their shift arrangements. The bone marrow was cold and the onion served with it was colder. The rib eye was sinewy and chewy. We fled as quickly as we would and on reflection ought to have left earlier and braved the possibility of no dinner. There are so many better restaurants at this price point. I do not at all recommend.

Had a wonderful meal in Hawksmoor Liverpool last month so was really looking forwards to this. The express option is certainly outstanding value, but overall I was dissapointed with this meal. The noise level at this restaurant is unbelievable, so on a table of 5 I could only really hear the two people immediately beside me and didn't get to talk to the other two on our table at all. The service was fairly slow (it took 25 mins of sitting in the noise, unable to talk to eachother after finishing our mains for our plates to be cleared). Food was good, but not as good as at the Liverpool branch last month which concerns me for brand consistency. Very very salty too

A shadow of its former self with average steaks and poor service. This was my first visit to a Hawksmoor in around 6 years as I have been working overseas but decided to book a table because we had friends visiting us who wanted a quality steak for dinner. I booked a table on a Sunday evening for 7 people which included 3 children aged between 8 and 11. We were seated on a large booth in the centre of the art deco style restaurant, which was full and noisy. The noise didn’t bother us - we had 3 young children so it was nice for a change to have the noise coming from elsewhere - but if you want quieter surroundings, this is definitely not the place. The problems started when we ordered drinks - the wine came in good time but 4 of those in our party were drinking soft drinks which didn’t arrive before the starters. The fact that they turned up at all was only down to the fact that we spoke to three different staff members to chase them up. Our server appeared more interested in seeking to admonish themselves of blame rather than getting the drinks. The starters (pork belly, carpaccio and bone marrow) were good and cooked well. Each of our party ordered steaks for main - a mixture of rib eyes and fillets which were meant to be cooked either medium or medium rare. The first thing I noticed when the steaks arrived was the lack of crusting on their surface - an issue that was replicated on the underside. The story didn’t improve when we cut into the steaks which had either been over or undercooked. We had a relatively decent sample size having ordered 4 fillet steaks to be cooked medium which actually ranged from rare to medium well. The meat itself was ok but certainly didn’t have the wow factor I remember from Hawksmoor. The sides however were very good - we ordered the creamed spinach, mac and cheese, beef dripping fries and some greens, which were all excellent. However, we didn’t go to Hawksmoor for side dishes - the steaks were a huge disappointment. Sadly, in addition to the issue we had with our soft drinks, the remainder of the service was also really poor with the dishes flung on the table in a very rushed fashion. This was topped off at the end of the meal with them trying to charge us for 11 steaks (rather than 7) which one of our party thankfully spotted. When we pointed it out, the manager came over in a very assuring manner and said he would resolve the issue only to return to the table noting that he had reduced the bill by £42 having missed the issue we had completely. It took one of our party to stand at the till with him to explain we only ordered and received 7 steaks and they had clearly given us the wrong bill. Overall, it was a really poor experience. I can only imagine the restaurant has too many covers and/or not enough kitchen staff, while those working there that we came across were either very inexperienced or didn’t care. The biggest disappointment by far though was the steak. The owners may well be going for quantity over quality because it delivers them the highest return (who can blame them - I would probably do the same!) and it does appear to be working because the restaurant was full, however, based on our experience, it definitely shouldn’t be.

Had dinner here today. The food wasn't expensive as we ate from the express menu. The potted beef with Yorkshires starter was a sort of leftover sunday roast. The yorkshires were reheated and too brown, hard to cut with a knife as they were old and dry, the potted beef was cold and needed some seasoning ( i know it is supposed to be cold) and the gravy was tasty but almost at room temperature, not appealing. Average steak, but can't complain for the price. Chips were nice and the bone marrow was a nice touch. Service was average and all servers were dressed so casual that it was at odds with the style of the place in my opinion , all in all an average experience. The building is lovely

Excellent food, perfect steak, beautiful decor and great atmosphere. The staff were very friendly and didn’t rush us.

Pro Tip: Monday is Bring-Your-Own bottle, with a corkage fee of only £5.Stepping into Hawksmoor Air Street is an immersion into sheer elegance - it's my unequivocal favourite Hawksmoor. The reception staff consistently greet you with warm smiles, setting the tone for a delightful dining experience. Ascending the marble elliptical staircase to the first floor unveils a captivating art deco interior, a huge chandelier, emerald-hued leather booths, and a meticulously restored parquet floor from an old RAF base. While Hawksmoor has always excelled in steaks, this particular branch stands out with its expanded repertoire, featuring an array of fish dishes that rival the excellence of their renowned steaks. The steaks are perfectly cooked and properly rested as there are no juices on the plate, when they arrive My personal recommendation is the Chateaubriand this always goes down well.Wheelchair accessibility: This Hawkmoors if fully accessible to wheelchair users.

Finally got to make the roast (well not quite..). Despite missing out on the “real” roast the waiter walked us through how to essentially make most of the dish through the options on the menu, top off with complimentary Yorkshire and celebratory fizz for our friends engagement. I’ve genuinely never had better service (forgotten his name sadly, nice Hungarian chap), knowledgeable, personable & fun. Rib eye was ? - sure you pay for it, but boy was it worth the treat!
