"Oak Caffe" is a wonderful little cafe on the corner of Whetstone High Road and Oakleigh Road North (and almost adjacent to the actual 'Whet-stone' which is on the pavement a few yards away). Very good breakfast, brunch and lunch options including lovely poached eggs and great coffee. The slightly spiced chickpea vegetable soup is outstanding (winter menu) and there are plenty of options for all tastes and requirements. The atmosphere is relaxed and familiar due to very welcoming management and staff and nothings seems too much trouble. Good value for quality produce and service. Easy to recommend. Parking outside is very limited and tricky but there are local options just a short walk away.

Lovely Place for a drink or brunchWe went to Oak Caffe for a brunch, it was delicious. plenty of options.when we were there it was a busy hour our drinks were late so they did not charge for our drinks which is so professional,the staff is friendlyfood is deliciousand the atmosphere is lovely

I have been to this cafe before and I would say overall I’ve had a good experience.I cannot say same of this occasion.At every step of the way my cousin and I (who was with her little baby) had to get the attention of the four staff that were there.They can’t even blame this on being busy as when we arrived there was only two other couples sat there.We hadn’t even been offered drinks.We had to call the waitresses over to order our food and drinks.At no point were we asked if we required anything else.Getting there attention was a hassle, one should not have to try hard to get the attention of staff at a restaurant they should be aware of the fact that people may require other things.When ordering food for the baby. The pancakes were terrible to say the least we both tried them and couldn’t believe that this was served to children! I would definitely not be serving that to my child!By this time I had already complained to one of the staff who said she was a manager, I couldn’t quite believe it as she was as not attentive as the rest of the staff working there.She said thank you for the feedback and wouldTry and fix this.Non such thing was done and we were ignored still the whole time.We then ordered toast for her baby with butter. They did not even give us cutlery for that. We had to use a spoon. I did not want to get the attention of the staff once again as I was fed up by this point.The food is mediocre here, I will definitely not been attending again. There standards have dropped massively.A real shame as I was the one who recommended this place.(To top of the terrible experience the toilets were unusable)
