Loved the view! The tall ceiling and natural light added a lot to the ambiance.

Good chill ambiance for a Sunday! One of the only bottomless where the waiters don't ignore you for a refill! The view is amazing! Food is top class ! The place to be on Sundays!

Awful restaurant who overcharged for our meal and refused to provide a refund after we submitted evidence.

Incredibly bad service. With place relatively quiet we waited over 90 minutes for our starters. The waiter got some of the drinks wrong and then some of the food orders wrong. The food itself is beyond bland.A lovely setting for a restaurant with possibly the worst food I have had in a restaurant in London.

We booked to visit Skylon as a pre-theatre meal. We arrived before 5pm and ordered a drink before being seated at our booking time. Our order was quickly taken and we made it clear to our waiter that we wanted to order from the ‘Theatre Set Menu’. Our server was polite and helpful. Our starters arrived quickly, however it took one hour and half and three requests to the waiter and management before our mains arrived by which point we had to rush eating them and were left with 10 minutes to eat dessert. When we raised the 1.5 hour waiting time at 6pm with the manager her reply was: ‘Jesus!’ Yet no apology was offered and we were still expected to pay a 13% service charge for such an experience. All round very poor management of the kitchen and no acknowledgement of a what turned out to be a very expensive bad experience. On a positive note the food was all of a good standard when we were finally brought it and our server did her best under the circumstances.

On Saturday 2nd March I decided to head to Skylon, a place I hadn't been to in ages, but I know it used to do damn good cocktails. As I'm the "Bartend" for a forthcoming Hen Party, I needed to know how to make some classic cocktails, so I was just hoping I'd meet the right person at Skylon who wouldn't mind showing me what he or she was doing.I met Rahul. He turned out to be an absolute LEGEND.What a top, top, nice guy. Patient. Knowledgeable. Happy. Always coming over to see if I was okay. The guy made my day. I learned so much more than I thought I would. And can this guy make a decent cocktail? Hell yeah. He's incredible. I *still* think the Spicy Margarita was quite spicy though! :)So thank you, Rahul, and the lovely young lady who was also there (Mia? I'm sorry... I've lost the piece of paper with people's names on! Was definitely a short name). Rahul was that good... it's making me come back with some friends real soon so we can enjoy more of his cocktails.Superb day at Skylon. AGAIN.

The food and wine was delicious (and of course the amazing views that we keep coming back for), but the absolute best part of our visit was OUTSTANDING service from Rahul. A huge thank you to him for looking after us so well.

We had a reservation for Saturday, February 3rd, for a bottomless brunch, and despite some initial skepticism due to mixed reviews, I am delighted to share that it was an outstanding experience. We were seated by the window, enjoyed superb service from attentive staff who ensured our glasses were never empty. The food exceeded expectations, and the added touch of a saxophone player in the background elevated the ambiance. Kudos to the staff – a solid 5-star experience!

Decent restaurant on the third floor of the Royal Festival Hall in the Southbank Centre. It is undoubtedly a stunning setting with great views of the River Thames from the huge windows. It also has a very interesting central bar and huge circular ceiling lights. We found the food a tad underwhelming. For starters we had a beetroot and pear salad and a ham hock dish which were both fine but nothing special. We then both had the crab linguine main course which again was pretty good but we have had better in less fancy settings. We also had a couple of glasses of a very good Mosel riesling. Very friendly and helpful staff.Skylon has one major benefit over most restaurants in the area. It takes food orders until 22:15 which means you can get to eat after most shows at the Festival Hall, Queen Elizabeth Hall or the BFI Southbank.Skylon takes its name from the original iconic structure that was built for the 1951 Festival of Britain.
