Great bar staff. Ace was Ace. Busy and lively without a queue for the bar. And a great pint of Guinness

Great beer, friendly staff, and the downstairs is brilliant.

Great little find slightly off the beaten path near the City. Our group have hired the downstairs room a couple of times and had good fun and many beers. We had pizzas delivered both times to make the evening even better.

£7.50 for a pint. Absolute rip off

Quiet during the post lunch period.Good games room downstairs with a free pool table. That's a rarity these days in London. You can also bring your lunch in and munch it here. Decent boozer.

Extremely busy, people were drinking outside even though the temperature was 1

Very crowded and very cold but maybe that's how pubs are?

Good old style pub, good beers on tap...maybe it would be even better if they had happy hour or like a "cheap" beer a week on rotation? Good games room downstairs and a selection of boardgames on offer. Bar staff are friendly and attentive too.
I was truly shocked today at the bar when I saw a waitress raising her voice at an Asian student. The student had politely asked for a coke, seemingly unaware that the waitress was busy. The waitress’s attitude was unmistakably racist, and I was absolutely appalled by the behavior of the bar staff. The poor Asian girl remained silent and simply walked away—perhaps not wanting to stoop to the waitress’s level. The incident took place at around 5:20pm.Edit (as can't find the option to reply to the owner's comment) - I was in the right place, thank you for your reply, it was the girl behind the counter who was attending to the customer's orders. She was exceptionally rude to the Asian girl.

We'd been working for most of the preceding 2 days (2 hours sleep) and when we got there they opened the games room for us where we could bluetooth our own music, play pool and darts and they helped bringing our drinks down. Awesome place.

They now welcome people in that have bought food in the Petticoat Lane market - great idea.We took in our fish and chips and washed it down with a couple of drinks.

Seriously rude staff actually told me to F off Definitely would never go there again Supposedly the cheapest pub in that area Which is far from the fact

What sort of pub does this? If you want anything resembling a proper east end pub avoid this place.. A mock up pub catering to jack the ripper tours.
