I understand child portions are small, but the size of the childrens burger is horendous for the price charged. No bigger then the size of a childs palm and waited over an hour for it! Cutlery holder was dirty and clearly had'nt been wiped.

A family gathering, including our 95yr old father, who needs a wheel-chair, who we hadn't planned to be with us (so hadn't told the pub) but he was able to join us. Unfortunately the table allocated to our booking was on raised benches, so he couldn't sit in his wheelchair at our level. We received great assistance from the pub team, but the pub was super-busy due to the rugby at the time and there weren't alternatives available. We managed to get Dad out of the chair onto the bench and actually he was fine, so we were happy where we were. It was great to see the pub so vibrant on a Saturday night, though we did leave to go somewhere a little quieter later. (edited to make it clear we were very well-looked after by the staff on a very busy night)

I don’t often put reviews but to be honest I am amazed by not only the perfect hospitality but the food the atmosphere the drinks and the speed of everything this was done at,I entered at roughly 9 o’clock to be instantly asked what I would like which I then let the bar staff know the drinks me and my 4 friends would like obviously expecting to be waiting a few minutes atleast but I was shocked at the speed the drinks got given to me with the bar staff having a big grin on there face and a light hearted joke which we then had a small conversation about. This was just one of many great experiences that occurred that night. STRONGLY recommend (also all workers were extremely cheerful and prepared to have a conversation which made me enjoy my evening even more as I had a wonderful conversation with the owner later in the night and found out we had much in common what was nice)Vegetarian options: Many options for people who may have dietary requirements or are vegan or vegetarianParking: Easy,accessible and all round easy to park my carWheelchair accessibility: Ramps for people in wheelchairs
Had a great Saturday evening with my family at the royal standard, really friendly and helpful staff, delicious food and overall amazing atmosphere! Would recommend and can't wait to visit again!
