Pubs in New Malden

“This was an epithany experience, especially as I wasnt expecting anything special.
The staff made us feel welcome straight away, without any fuss. We decided to stay and eat and both enjoyed our meals having different dishes.
I am living in Putney but would consider making a regular trip back to this place every couple.of weeks as a treat or as a local. Great effort guys keeping up the standards so well, this is how we expected our pubs to be back in the day!

“Just had lunch here, and the place is immaculate. It is a big pub with a diverse range of activities and events. The food is excellent, and the menu has a good range and is diverse. Special thanks go to Gosia, the head chef and manager, for offering good advice and explaining the menu better. Pity many other pubs are not so forthcoming, welcoming, and innovative. Also, the man at the bar with short blondie hair was great. Sorry, I did not get his name. Will definitely visit again.”

“We had a 25th wedding anniversary here and the staff could not have been more accommodating or helpful. The venue was perfect, we had a funk band that came to play; we ordered pizzas and charcuterie boards which kept coming out through the evening and sole use of the bar outside in the heated covered area. It was an excellent evening and a great venue!”

“Big pub. My fav in New malden. Does get busy with the korean community but they tend to take up positions in far end of the pub in the conservatory part which gets very noisy.
Outside seating area or opposite the bar is the old and bold New Maldeners. Good people, and great to hear South London accents.
The front part of the pub where I sometimes sit used to be the front office when it was the Police station.

“We got married at The Royal Oak in June 2024 and could not have been happier with the venue for our wedding. It was honestly the best day of our lives. The whole team were just the right balance of professionalism while also being accommodating and easy going with our requests. A special shout out to Luke and Ryan who we mainly worked with and who seemed intent on making sure we had the best day- it was exactly what we wanted. We could not recommend them enough. We will definitely be returning to the pub as customers as it will now have a special place in our heart!”
