We popped in here several times for drinks while visiting Kew. What a great little pub - the weather was great during our visit, so we enjoyed sitting in the outdoor area. We found the staff friendly and polite when purchasing our drinks and they were good at clearing empty glasses off the table. We didn't eat here, but we would have if we'd been here longer.

Dropped in for a drink just before 9pm on the 27th of Dec. Understandable that there were reduced hours due to the festive season, however theses weren’t displayed. We brought our drinks, however our server didn’t notify us that it was last orders or that they’d be kicking us out of the pub by 21.20. We were told several times across a 20 minute period that the pub would be closing, asked to change glasses etc. The tone of the staff was short and unapologetic. The staff even got into an argument with a women who was unhappy about them letting her buy a bottle of wine just before last orders and not being clear about the closing time (which I felt was fair enough from the women’s side). They laughed at her and argued back. Such a shame to have this experience because the pub is in a lovely setting.

KARENS DINER would probably be more polite to you than the staff here! The customer service is awful, rude staff who do not give a monkeys that someone else's table was so broke next to us that they sat down it tipped and red wine all over my friends white top! I asked them to put a reserved sign on it because my friends clothes are ruined to stop it happening to aomeone else.... some blonde woman with glasses said .... And what! Rude rude. Pretty place but Avoid avoid avoid. No care no acknowledgement

This is a convenient place to eat if you are on your way to visit Kew Gardens. It is by the Kew Station and easy walking distance to the gardens. We had lunch here before visiting the gardens. It serves typical pub food in a nice setting.

We wanted to try a local pub while staying in Kew Gardens so turned up on a Thursday night with no booking ? The staff were lovely and fitted us in at a lovely table and looked after us brilliantly all night. My partner had a beautiful gnocchi and I had a great steak pie. Nothing was too much trouble and everyone was smiling. There was live music and a great atmosphere with all types of people dining or just catching up, couples, families, and groups of friends… Would definitely recommend ☺️

Managed to get a table walking in on a Sunday. Really convenient walking distance from Kew Gardens.Staff were friendly and food arrived pretty quickly. The steak and ale pie was really good, as was the mash. My partner really enjoyed her vegetarian roast too.Atmosphere is lovely, something quite nice about being able to watch the trains going past while eating.

A really nice pub. We visited here after Kew Gardens for food. The atmosphere/decor was nice. I like being so close to the platform, a bonus for people watchers! The service is very good and the staff are friendly. We ordered the fish and chips and a shandy. Everything was very delicious and well cooked. The portion was also very good. There is also a good range of drinks. The food is more gastro pub but still has traditional options as well.Worth a visit! :)

Lovely local pub. Gets busy over the weekends and in Sundays. Food is good too.

A full bar with no seating. And yet a restaurant area that took up most of the establishment, completely empty. Could we sit there ? No! Flatly refused, despite having elderly and infirm guests with us. Zero help and zero customer service. If it's a "Tap" room, why have a massive restaurant with no diners and everyone cramped into a tiny bar space ? Not recommended

What a great spot and a lovely pub. The indoor seating area has a large glass window and a direct view of the platform and station - it was cool to watch the trains come and go. The front outside has a lovely sheltered courtyard with lots of plants. Felt like we were on the streets on holiday somewhere. Good selection of beers on tap and lots of gins for a summer day. Nice decor and toilets. Didn’t eat but the food we saw looked lovely.Kid-friendliness: Not overly kid friendly but then it is a trendy pub. Kids probably ok in the restaurant.Parking: Some street parking but it is mostly permit only.

Very nice Sunday lunch here today with very friendly helpful service. We were a little late so my only criticism was that the roast pork was on the dry side sadly, like it had been sat in a warm oven drying out for a while.Quite a fun spot to eat though, right by the train line at Kew and beware, it does tend to be popular with parents with babies so can get quite screechy on a Sunday.Vegetarian options: They do a vegan roast which I was told was not bad but just bought in taste, not home made.

Nice pub, directly next to the Highbury train station. It has a beer garden, outside space & the actual pub/bar & dining area. You can see the station from the windows, which is kind of cool. Great atmosphere, nice staff. The pub is accessible to the wheelchairs but the toilets are downstairs. There was a baby changing table in the ladies. Families welcomed. The drinks were standard cost £, food was expensive.

I came over from abroad recently and stayed with friends in Kew. They introduced me to this pub adjacent to Kew Gardens train station. I went there three days in a row, met some fascinating characters from all walks of life, drank some good English ale and had a fine Sunday roast for the first time in 50 years. Go there, it's certainly worth it!
