I was admittedly quite underwhelmed by the food. I love Thai cuisine, eat it regularly, and was excited to try Rosa’s Thai.

Based on the drunken noodles I ordered, I felt that the flavors were not particularly well balanced.

The noodles themselves felt fairly standard and did not stand out to me in texture or taste.

I also chose the dish because Thai basil was listed in the description, and I am a big fan of it. However, during my meal I could neither identify its flavor nor see any obvious Thai basil in the dish, which was disappointing.

The vegetables were another weak point for me. The carrots, in particular, had a texture that reminded me of previously frozen vegetables rather than fresh ones, although I cannot say how they were actually prepared.

Of course, this reflects only my personal experience with a single dish on a single visit. Based on that experience, I found the food mediocre at best. The service was okay, though not especially warm or attentive, while the atmosphere was pleasant and inviting.

I popped in for lunch on a quiet Monday. The service was quick and friendly, the pasta was one of the best I have had in London. I had the Genovese Ragu (pork and veal) with paccheri pasta and a glass of wine. A perfect way to start a lazy afternoon. I’ll definitely be coming back here.again.

Concept of slow food!
We abandoned the queue of new Dishoom in London because the waiting time was estimated 90 mn so we decided to be back Richmond for a better experience but our dinner last almost 3 hours as there was a lack of staff in kitchen!!! Not correct to fill up the restaurant if you don’t have the staff to follow. Other than that, food is excellent, ambience as well and great service with many “so sorry” that doesn’t solve the problem

A nice French restaurant hidden away down Finkle street in God's country ( Richmond ) we was greeted and seated with a smile. Was asked if we would like water to start with and given the menu. We ordered our drinks and then our food . We ordered the salmon and the Venison which was remarkably delicious. The salmon came with a lemon caper sauce and new potatoes which were sautéed. The venison was medium rare with smashed potato and a Jus . All the way through service we had a smile .

I loved the vibe here. The bar tender was really friendly, helped me select the perfect wine, I loved the live music as well. I'll definitely be heading back to try the cocktails that seemed delicious. Definitely recommend this bar. It was cosy, intimate, friendly and lively. Booked for lunch with friends before visiting Kew Gardens. Although one of the menu options wasn't available the alternative was, I'm told, excellent, as was my choice. The waiter, Bav, was friendly and professional and checked back with us.
After our main course I asked where the Ladies was, not only did Bav direct me to the upstairs facilities, but also commented that he noticed I'd been using a stick when I arrived and gave me the location of the accessible toilet as well. He made no assumptions about my ability, just made sure I had the choice. Excellent customer service!!

A picture perfect pub overlooking the Yorkshire Dales. As we are not locals, we came across the reviews on Google and decided to go for a quiet lunch on a Wednesday while staying near Richmond. Staff were friendly, although we nearly didn't stay to eat as this is not a dog friendly pub, so left ours in the car. We didn't notice anything saying this on their website although other reviews on different sites have mixed responses to this.

Food was really delicious! We arrived at 5.30 as it said on Google that the accepted orders from 5.30 but it wasn’t clear if it was meant to be by phone—we felt a little awkward and though we came in at that time we were told there were a ton of orders before us. Never mind—we walked around the castle and town and came back to our order all ready. The food was excellent. I didn’t specify spice level of my veggie red curry and it was very spicy-so beware. But the pad Thai, and other chicken curry my friend got were 5-star. Prices were also really good!

Some of the best sushi I have ever had! There is only 6 seats and you sit to watch him make everything in front of you. He gave the best recommendations (including the Eel Maki - don’t knock it until you try it!) what an experience! The day we came he also had some very special tuna in and it was melt in the mouth. Best tuna I’ve ever had.

Definitely recommend to a friend.

Wonderful hotel and pub. Great location. We stayed here the last couple nights of our vacation because of the Ted Lasso thing and also close to Heathrow for the trip home. Great area!

Nearby activities: If you are a Ted Lasso fan you’ll want to stay here a couple days.

Safety: Always felt safe out on the streets even at night.

Walkability: Great area to walk.

Food and drinks: Pubs with great food. Waitrose grocery store is a five minute walk. The nicest grocery store I’ve ever been in.

The Fox & Duck is a wonderful pub, filled w people of all ages from the neighborhood, and usually one or two dogs. As you enter you will find a traditional and comfortable pub w wooden tables and chairs to the right, a dinning area to the left. Food is always wonderful, with a good selection of beers and drinks. Visited for a drink - twice in one day. The staff were friendly in general and especially helpful ref. the local geography. The pub was ultra clean and well maintained. we Liked all 3 it was the hottest summer day last week, doors open, open from the top. Starters were Brilliant! Hot Fresh! Main was Great had a Lam dish Spicey Good Flavours! Naans were good as most places have wrong taste smell and thickness here they were lovely we kept them coming no room for desserts however looked Yummy! staff very friend had many suggestions catered to our needs were looked after and Chef also spoke to us which was lovely..gave his backstory and his experience and recommendations..Setting and style Maharaja contemporary look very nice clean and fairly busy not loud brash and noisey just the right ambience..were going again!

No menus, just the chefs choice of food and the house red. A refreshing restaurant experience. We were served 4 courses each with a selection of different dishes and the house wine was excellent.

The first course was antipasti with a rocket balsamic salad, prosciutto with melon, roast vegetable bruschetta, and marinated artichokes. Second course was pasta where we had a serving of prawns, ravioli, and another pasta dish. Third course is the pig, which was displayed on the tray before carving, served with some incredible potatoes. Then for desert we had Panna cotta with fruit compote.

You get a lot of food for your money, at £75 per person, and you will leave feeling very satisfied. Everything we ate was excellent, special shout out to the pig course! A quality restaurant for those looking to share a fully belly with some friends or a loved one.

Visited for our first plated roast since their winter switch from carvery. As lovers of their carvery (the best carvery around) we were a little anxious to see how the plated version faired. Especially as I'm not a lover of a plated roast while dining out. However, I'll eat my words. This was top notch. Very ample servings of veg came alongside the plated meat, yorkshire pud and potatoes (mash and roasts). Veg was as much as you wanted, but the serving provided was sufficient as it was, so didnt need to ask for more. Lashings of gravy, a jug was provided alongside a decent amount on the plate too. Can never have too much gravy with a roast so this touch was a winner for me! The meat choices in early Jan were pheasant, turkey or beef. Really good to have the pheasant option and will try that if its on when we go again.

Whats more, had room left to have a pudding...which the chocolate naughty cake went down a treat!

Will definitely return for the roast, just sorry hadn't been able to sample it sooner!

Black Bull is my preference for eating in the village, and is the best for a roast too.
