Lamb kebabs - smelled, tasted bitter, no taste of lamb meat returned Chicken kebab - again looked old and no taste of chicken Meat samosa - smelled off and the meat inside did not look like meat or smell Vegetarian samosa - edible but very low quality compared to all the other restaurants on king Street Altogether horrible and stomach churning experience will not recommend. It's used to be good 30 years ago with the original owners

I visited this place after some time as I love their saag and maki di roti.It did not disappoint.It was delicious as was the chilli paneer.The aloo tiki chaat was appetising.I can understand why people might say portions are small , however for us they were fine. The staff were polite and attentive and what surprised me the most and I was quite taken by it, is that we overpaid our bill by error, however the waitress was quick to come back and tell us that. I did not take her name but she is definitely an asset to the place.

I popped in for a takeaway. The service was warm and friendly. The meal was delicious and perfectly seasoned. Sadly the 4 stars was because the vegetable samosas were a bit bland and the chutney bland too. The alloo tikka chaat was very tasty though. Prices were very reasonable

Waiting an hour for food when not even busy.Finally food arrived which was not even hot only warm, we ordered 4 different curries and all of them were tasteless and bland and not worthy of being called a curry.A/C was on full power which made the naans rock hard, asked staff to turn off as food is getting cold but was ignored.Management did not give a damn.Thanks roxy for giving me diarrhoea.

Very average at the most! Chana bhatura probably their signature dish. You can't take your own alcohol. Most of the food is pre-cooked and reheated. The food isn't cheap and there are better options locally.

Came here for an early Sunday supper. The staff couldn't have been nicer or more attentive. They were out of non alcoholic beer but the manager sorted it out for us and the waitress was lovely. The food os hearty but well flavoured and arrived piping hot. Butter chicken was tender and flavourful and the saag aloo had a nice blend of herbs. Veg samosas were a bit too heavy on potato. Very reasonable prices.
Always go most Sundays to have maki roti with saag for lunch very nice.

Been eating here since the days it was Sagoo and Takhars. The past two years despite the food being good, the service and atmosphere is appalling! The owner is great, lovely guy, welcoming and friendly. HOWEVER....THE BALD SHORT MAN, ALWAYS IN A CHECKED SHIRT, MAKES YOU FEEL SO UNCOMFORTABLE, LIKE RUBBISH! HE WILL NOT ACKNOWLEDGE YOU, GIVE YOU EVILS, DIRTY LOOKS, IF YOU CALL HIM HE WALKS AWAY, WILL NEVER SERVE YOU. UNLESS YOU ARE OVER A CERTAIN AGE BRACKET, HE CANNOT SAY THERE IS A LANGUAGE ISSUE, HEARD HIM SPEAK ENGLISH PERFECTLY FINE. - RUINS YOUR MOOD AND CREATES SUCH A RUBBISH AMBIENCE FOR EATING. THE GUY ACTS LIKE HE IS A LOVE STRUCK EX OUT FOR REVENGE. I COULD GO ON... Such a shame as I have been coming here to eat for over 35 years!

The best Indian food in the area. Reasonable pricing and lots of seating. The service is... Typically Indian, so not exactly fine dining, but that's not why you come here. You come here for the awesome Street food and tasty main courses. I love it

Not the same anymore. I was very disappointed with the our take out. The food was below average, overly oily, lacked taste, not fresh & very greasy.The lady behind the counter was quick to take & ready our order but that's about the only positive I have unfortunately.
