I think 3 stars sums it up. It's ok. There is no positive atmosphere to speak of, but the beer is cheap. It doesn't have the huge student gatherings that the Kingston one gets. Staff were good.

End of the month I spend few hrs with work heads. Very cheap but the staff are not up to the job tbh. ?

It 's a Wetherspoons pub, so traditional, not fancy. But...great prices on a range of beers, no annoying music, fast wifi, free coffee and tea refills after the first one, and great value steaks (and selected other meals - you do need to know what you are ordering though). The staff are helpful on the whole. What's not to like? :-) I think it's a great place to socialise and to work (especially if you can get a seat in one of the alcoves). It also has an eclectic mix of clientele, so interesting from a fly-on-the-wall point of view.

A must visit pub even if it's just to look at the interior, the rest you'll be familiar with at it's a wetherspoons. A short walk from the train station, inexpensive beers and food.

A large 'spoons which follows the usual pattern - a range of beers, food of the cheap and cheerful nature, in a converted building that used to be something else. In this case a civic hall opened in the early 20th century. Not, apparently, ever a house of ill repute as some claim (I don't know why you'd want to claim to be that). I think we may have Wetherspoons wrong - they haven't damaged high street pubs, because there are several pubs around and they're doing fine. What they may have damaged is the backstreet boozer, the 'grandad and his pint and paper' kind of place which have mostly gone. And I'm not even convinced 'spoons is really a pub pub - it has more in common with something like All Bar One (an upmarket 'spoons equivalent) and could be classed more as a diner. Or is it just that I would rarely go into a 'spoons just for the drink? The Coronation Hall is among the best of Kingston upon Thames' Wetherspoons - there is also the Kings Tun in Kingston and the Watchman in New Malden. The Cap in Hand, in Southborough, closed in 2016.

A good Wetherspoons. Good food and fast service, only complaint is that it was way too cold inside. Turn the heating up, it's the middle of winter!

My 105th (still open) 'Spoons visited.A large Wetherspoons on the main High St, not far from the Rail Station. The building has had a history of being a Lecture Hall, Cinema and a Bingo Hall before becoming a Wetherspoons branch in Sept 1997.Service was a little slow. However, the Vegetarian Breakfast I ordered was well presented, cooked and modtly hot. Nice to see a LARGE flat mushroom with the breakfast for once. Only gripe is that beans were lukewarm, however this is an issue regularly encountered and not exclusive to this branch.Staff were friendly and resolved an issue with both coffee machines being out of action in good time.Highly recommended if you are in the area!

Weatherspoons.... love em. Good beer, good service and as of Sept 23 the chief is turning out some fantastic steaks.

I cannot stress how unique and magical the interior is to this pub, once cinema and theatre. The Coronation Hall has a rich history and it is so lovely to see that Wetherspoons has respected that. From the incredible arch ceilings to a statue of Charlie Chaplin, the old photographs on the wall, and the brass camera decor... This is what makes the pub and is truly is something special. There is so many soulless pubs in the UK that do not respect what their buildings used to be. The "Corry Hall" certainly does not do that. The only minor issue is the amount of smokers that linger on the entrance steps. There should be a dedicated smoking area out of sight as it can be quite intimidating and horrible to walk through as you enter. Other than that, this is a wonderful pub that pays homage to it's history

This Wetherspoons commemorates in part the coronation of Edward V.It's one of the more interesting Wetherspoons branches, in that inside it's been restored sympathetically, and if you're into buildings with a history, this might interest you too. I spent quite some time just walking round admiring the interior and what Wetherspoons had done in the restoration. It has a lot of photos and prints on the walls, you could spend quite a lot of time just looking at these.Food wise, I ordered toast and marmalade. It was just ok. I'm not sure how any outfit can mess up making toast, but warmed bread isn't toast!Parking: There is pay and display parking along the street, so it obviously depends on what time you arrive.

We had a relaxed afternoon chatting in The Coronation Hall. The meal and beverages were wonderful as was the service. Ideal for both family and friend gatherings.

The girls that work here are very rude, clearly don’t want to to be here and have no customer service skills. Is especially rude to young girls that come here for drinks and often serves boys that were clearly behind in the queue.
