I have been a patron of fish! kitchen for well over a decade. Today I asked my wife to pick up some cod for futoor (breaking fast for Ramadan) and she came back with what I can only describe as a child portion. My wife even complained at the size and the server claimed “…they are all the same size and this is chunky…”For the money, the fish is without exaggeration half of what I would expect from premium establishments in Central London. For this reason, with regret, I will never be buying from here again. I would urge the manager/owner to visit their competitors to see why. You are screwing your local patrons because you can. Cutting fillets into thirds is ridiculous. I will be sure to buy from others from now on.

Walked in to a really strong fish smell (yes I know it’s a fish restaurant but this was overpowering) like mackerel or salmon - or as if you were sitting on a trawler. Nice service but food was below average. Chips overly crispy and tasted of old fat. Fish (cod) small and tasteless. Shame as it’s hard to go wrong with fish & chips. Toilets smelt awful too. Left feeling a bit sick. Hopefully it was just a bad night for them but won’t be going back -shame as a cute little place

More than just a chippy…This fish restaurant is attached to a fishmongers so the quality of their produce is amazing. We ate-in and they have a wide selection of delights beyond you standard fish n chips. The whole time we were there there was a queue for takeaway which is telling on a Friday night.I had the grilled monkfish which was cooked to perfection and served with salsa verde. Will be going back for sure. Five stars!

I was recommended to this restaurant approximately 20 years ago. And every time I went to Kingston hospital I used to see it. This was on a bus and I never stopped to get off. On this occasion I was walking and decided to try it. The waiter was very pleasant and made you welcome. I decided to have a small portion as it was lunchtime and I was having a big meal in the evening. This was plain fish and chips and it was a child’s portion, This also included mushy peas. I also had a glass of the South African Chenin blanc which was very good. As a dessert I had apple crumble. This was one of the best I have ever had. As a result of this my bill was less than £20. Obviously it was not a large piece of fish, but it suited me.

Used to be good and regularly bought from here, recommended to friends. But since they have got busy food and service both become terrible and I will warn my friends not to visit again...waited 40 min for a takeaway, the fish was all soggy as the cook did not drain the oil, then it sat there for 10 min with no one passing it to me. What a waste of time and money. Also they forgot my curry, I asked the cook politely how long it would take, he decided to take his stress out on me and just gave me an answer of "I don't know", then ignored me and just made me wait there for nothing. So rude and terrible experience indeed.

Not only really great traditional fish and chips, but attached to the amazing next door fishmonger. All fish and seafood from there can also be cooked and served in the restaurant.Very much worth (repeat) visits!

We enjoyed an impromptu lunch sat out in the sunshine with excellent service and delicious seafood. I had oysters to start followed by the scallops … absolutely delicious. Highly recommended & would happily eat here again.

Yesterday evening decided to relax with a delivery but we had probably the worst chips we had ever tasted. Dry. overcooked and tasteless. They were too accompanied by, compared to other shops in the area, a smallish portion of battered haddock. The crab on toast and the tempura prawns were, however, very good and presented beautifully in round containers. But please ....the chips ....

Great food as ever, I have visited Fish Kitchen in Kingston several times and it's big sister at Borough Market once and I think they serve the best Fish in London at reasonable prices

I ordered take away cod and chips for my grandchildren tonight. Very disappointed, tiny piece of cod and lots of chips. We have always ordered take away here, but not again, we used to get a reasonable size fish but this was a joke ?

Stopped for lunch, had smoked haddock on bubble and squeak with a poached egg, this was very nice, just thought the price was quite on the expensive side. Battered cod and chips was also same price - £17.95
