“Our group of 5 visited Cafe Venice for the first time after attending an England rugby match at Twickenham Stadium. It's a 20 minute walk from there - so not much difference than a venue in Twickenham town centre. I made a telephone booking about 10 days before our visit and clarified that on rugby days, they offer a restricted menu at lunchtime but a full menu in the evenings. Note - there is a good specials menu in addition to the extensive menu on the website. We had booked for 630pm, and the restaurant was busy with many of the other customers having been to the rugby match, too. We were given a warm welcome. The service throughout was friendly and efficient. Our starter choices were : dough balls, mushrooms, mussels, calamari and whitebait. Our main courses were : carbonara x 2, calzone x 2 served with salad and sea bass fillets served with chips and salad. All were good sized portions and very tasty. The food and wine were also all at very reasonable prices. We thoroughly enjoyed our Cafe Venice experience and will return again.”
