We had a fantastic meal here last week; delicious food and wine, lovely ambience and great service. Would especially recommend the jumbo shrimp, mixed grill and mixed shish. Thank you for a great evening!

We ordered takeaway for my daughter’s birthday and they got 2 of the mains wrong and one of the starters. We then had to go back and pick up the correct mains and we asked for some kind of refund. They then old my daughter this was not something they could do even though they made the mistake and continued to say they are losing money on takeaways. Such bad customer service

Food is to die for. It’s literally my favourite restaurant, forget these big restaurants in the city. This places needs a Michelin star! The garlic prawns are like nothing you’ve had before, the sauce is so thick it’s sort of gravy consistency/thickness. The lamb shish is so juicy and succulent.

Enjoyed a delightful evening at Mezze Ocakbasi. The food was exceptional, especially the calamari starters which were a standout. Impressed by the professional service. Every dish served was a hit. Highly recommend.

My recent visit to Mezze Ocakbasi was, unfortunately, a disappointing experience that left me feeling undervalued as a customer. Upon arrival, we inquired about the possibility of enjoying drinks but were met with a dismissive attitude due to not having a reservation. We were grudgingly allowed to sit in a corner, provided we ordered drinks and snacks. This initial interaction set a tone of unwelcomeness that persisted throughout our visit. What followed was a 30-minute wait, during which we were not approached to place an order. This lack of attention to new guests contrasted starkly with the warm reception given to a couple who, despite also not having a reservation, were greeted with hugs from what appeared to be the owner or manager and were seated immediately. This experience highlighted a palpable 'cliquey' atmosphere in the establishment. It seems that unless you're a known regular, the likelihood of receiving equal treatment is low. As a result, we chose to leave, feeling overlooked and undervalued. I believe that every guest deserves to be treated with respect and attentiveness, regardless of their familiarity with the staff. Unfortunately, Mezze Ocakbasi fell short of these basic hospitality standards during my visit. I hope this feedback is taken constructively, as the potential for a more inclusive and welcoming environment is there.

5/5…. We had been going to Hawksmore and Goodmans for steak, until we had one here. It was genuinely better, which we was pleasantly surprised about ☺️ (considering it’s a Turkish - and not a steak restaurant). It’s comes with salad and chips. We brought a bottle of sauvignon blanc which was amazing too - definitely recommend trying the steak… The staff are lovely too
Excellent food and service...nick and his team looked after us. I would thoroughly recommend eating here...the lamb melts in your mouth

The food is absolutely lovely here, it's just a shame the owner of the restaurant is so rude.After booking a table for 5 people a week in advance, upon arrival he tried putting us on a table for 4 people and stuck a chair at the end of the table to squeeze the fifth person on. Clearly it would have been far to small and uncomfortable and after refusing a cramped table he pulled another table over.Had a lovely girl serve us, she was very happy, friendly energetic and was doing a great job and for some reason the owner kept coming over and taking over from her, it felt rather embarrassing for the poor girl just trying to do her job.Our mains tried to be served to us whilst we were still eating our starters.. to which the waitress apologised and all was fine.. only for the owner to come over to us and tell us mains we're being served because we only had our table until 8:30pm.. wouldn't have been an issue however it was only 7:20pm at the time and we still had over an hour left!Mains finally got served and all was fine, only for the owner to come over AGAIN to "kindly" offer us an extra 10/15mins at the table after our alotted time AND the proceeded to tell us that from 9pm they had a table of 16 people coming in and they were going to get very busy.. again the time was only 7:50pm.Overall, the food and waitress were lovely however the owner ruined the experience with his constant arrogance towards us. In the end we finished our meals and asked for the bill straight away and ended up leaving at 8:25pm. Obviously once the owner saw the bill in my hand he was more than happy to come over and make "friendly" chat because not only was he getting his money, he was getting his precious table back.

Honestly one of the best experiences. Not just once but multiple times I’ve come here and enjoyed my meal. The staff and food was wonderful. I would recommend to any person in the area !
