I dare anyone to try and find a more authentic Italian restaurant. The food as always was delicious. The ambiance perfect and the staff attentive and friendly. They were gearing up for New years eve after what we believe was their busiest christmas ever. Well done La Famiglia Hale keep doing what you are doing. The photos were just our starters got so involved in the good food I forgot to take pictures of our main course. To the bad reviewers all I can say is eprhaps you need to relax a little I am sure most restaurants this time of year being busy will have small issues I would be more than happy to sit in the bar and wait for a table here as I know the food is worth the wait.

La Famiglia just keeps getting better and better - I don’t know how Pino and his team do it!! We most recently went for my step-daughter’s 12th birthday (her request as she loves it), there were 7 of us on a busy evening. Our table wasn’t quite ready when we first arrived, so Pino apologised (not necessary) and the team seated us in the bar area and we had pre-dinner drinks which were great. As always, the food was absolutely amazing - my dad had the Sunday roast which was absolutely fantastic! I had my favourite - the lamb shank on mashed potato - perfect as always and everyone else in the party had a variety of pizza and pasta dishes. All unbelievably good and all whilst being looked after brilliantly by Pino and his team. We are regulars at La Famiglia, there’s no Italian restaurant in the area that comes close. The authenticity, the service, the drinks, the ambience - absolutely everything is always fantastic and on point! Thanks as always Team La Famiglia!

Service was appalling. Waited almost 1 hour beyond our booked table time before we were seated. No apology. Expressed our disappointment to the husband and wife owners who served us and they genuinely couldn't care less. Jokes about trains being late were served up long before any food. This restauarant has been in Hale for longer than I can remember (11 years), and we are utterly shocked at the complacent, assumptive attitude of the owners. Avoid.

Following the recent refurbishment of La Famiglia we decided to revisit it after a number of years. Oh dear, they still haven’t got it right. We were ushered in by a rather lugubrious young man and given menus but then left without any attention for over 15 minutes, not offered water or a drink and had to chase them down. Eventually the chap who I guess is the proprietor came to take our order but still no drinks appeared. Then it all came together even though we had explained we would like an aperitif first followed by glasses of wine with the food. I had a pizza which was so wooden you needed a chain saw to get through it although, to be fair, the topping was tasty enough. My partner had a rather sorry looking chicken dish with a small pot of chips. She said the chips were nice. The ambience remains vaguely sad and canteeny with bright red banquettes and unforgiving lighting. The view into the kitchen is uninspiring as you can see the kitchen staff eating at the same time as preparing food and often, frankly, not seeming to be doing very much despite the slow service. The background low brow jazz music would be bad even in a lift and is more irritating than relaxing. The restaurant is said to pride itself on its Italian authenticity but in actual fact it is just awful. Don’t go!

Three generations dining together and all thoroughly enjoyed it. Had been meaning to go for some time and regret taking so long. Smaller, more intimate & less noisy than the other local Italian restaurants. Classic Italian menu meant something for everyone. The owner was welcoming, friendly and good for a story. Will be back again soon.

Very rarely does a restaurant get a 10/10 from me but WOW. From the ribs starter, the best garlic bread in the land to the fall off the bone lamb - the food was phenomenal and service top notch. For the finale was the nicest honeycomb cheesecake I could dream of! I highly recommend you try this venue if you haven’t already. Stunning yet with a high quality family feel! Thank you ?❤️

Absolutely amazing food in the most characterful restaurant in Hale! The owner, Pilione is an absolute joy! He’s also an unbelievable chef and the most brilliant host!!Honestly, this is without question the best and most authentic Italian restaurant in all of The Hale/Altrincham area!!
