Just picked up a takeaway. It was stone cold at the point of collection in the restaurant (on time - the garlic butter hadn’t melted by the time we got home). We’ve eaten takeaway food away from Pizza Express before and it’s been perfectly acceptable, but we’ve just been served, at over £60, the most outrageously poor pair of pizzas that you could expect to find. Up your game, please…

Couldn't hear yourself think from all the kids running riot in there.The table was right by the bathroom, so door was slaming all the timeThe manager kept asking me to download the app when I said I wasn't interested in downloading it and he asked me 3 timesWon't be visiting this restaurant again

We just had a pizza party for my youngest daughter and couldn’t be happier. The kids had a great time and the staff was truly amazing! Massimo, the Manager and Freya, our party host were fantastic with the kids! Thanks :)

I went to pizza express with my friends for a birthday and a woman took a picture with me in the background (without consent)and I posed with a peace sign and I am 15 years old she then proceeded to give my friends dirty looks and then started zooming in on my face in her picture and showing her husband and 4 children then her daughter started giving us dirty looks , then the woman swapped seats with her daughter and started giving our whole table dirty looks for a mother and adult I think this is very childish, as we were about to pay the woman stands up and gets in my friends face saying she’s rude and disrespectful she continued to get the manager and the husband said chuck them out and the manager says leave quietly not even listening to what had happened just assuming because of our age. I felt thoroughly racially targeted when the woman said that we were not exclusive people because of the way we looked and I am a Kenyan Indian young adult as a huge company you should be ashamed that this sort of behaviour is tolerated by families. This was very disappointing as me and my friends go here regularly.
We were a group of 15 year old girls trying to enjoy our night when a woman sat on the table near us took a photo of one of the young girls sat at our table. The woman who took the photo then started complaining loudly about us and giving us dirty looks. We ignore them and carried on with our night until she switched seats with her daughter and approached our table. Once she approached our table she started shouting in one of the young girls faces and said we were rude and trying to intimidate her when we just wanted to enough our meal. They called the manager over and we’re saying we didn’t look like we were from a privileged area and that we should be kicked out. When we asked what he had done wrong the manager clearly said we should leave and be quiet with out taking our side of the story. I understand we are young but listening to the older, privileged woman straight away this male staff member wouldn’t listen to these young girls. We then had to cut my best friends birthday meal short and leave having an awful night because this woman decided she wanted to pick a fight. I’m just upset this happened and think it should be taken to a further measure, thankyou .

Really enjoyed the polenta chips; light, crispy, with a terrific honey mustard dip. The dough balls are always a favourite. Tried a Pizza Romana for the first time and it was excellent. The children’s menu is excellent value and good choice of dishes. Honeycomb cream slice was a great dessert to finish. Very good service from the lovely staff and and a nice restaurant for a family dinner.

The food saved the day! Pizza phenomenal but unfortunately the service was so poor, burned calamari served and sent back waited around 40 minutes for our food and generally the service was seriously lacking. This has always been one of the best restaurants in the chain and the pizza always of top quality. But if you're looking for good service well then brace yourselves, you may be disappointed.

We visited Pizza Express, Hale, Ashley Rd last Saturday (1st). There were 4 of us and 3 of our party, including my daughter are coeliac, I have allergies too- nuts, tomatoes and milk we are also a mixture of vegetarian and vegan.I hope I have the names correct- Our server Max is outstanding at his job, the service is fantastic here, he went through the menu with us and explained the app to us. Brilliant waiter! The manager, who has recently been promoted, Reser, is an asset to your management team, he went above and beyond ensuring all our food was perfect and all our allergies and intolerances were taken very seriously, he too helped us with the pizza express app, which we appreciated greatly, we had a lovely talk with him about his journey with Pizza Express and how much he enjoys working with his team and for the company, as a customer I felt his love for his job, his care and passion and that shone through to all of us. Thank you.Thank you to the chef, Jee, food outstanding and everything perfectly cooked- nothing was any trouble, it truly is delicious food! Thank you to Freya too, who also looked after us, her menu knowledge and care is phenomenal. We all appreciate how much you all as a team looked after us thank you, we will definitely be returning.
