The Good Catch used to be our favourite fish and chip takeaway, for many years but unfortunately recently the quality of the food has declined. The last 3 times we have been disappointed. Regrettably we will have to look around and find an alternative.

Staff can be rude at times however this is a chippy so to be expected. Definitely the best fish and chips in Manchester. Not too pricy considering its hale. They accept American Express.

This is my first time having authentic fish and chips! We waited outside until 4:30 when it opened and it was worth the wait. Staff was very friendly food came out very fast we took it home and it was amazing. It was worth flying from Connecticut all the way to London taking a train to Manchester to find this place!They actually need to charge more for their food. It would be double this price in the United States and I would still pay it.

Sorry but the curry sauce I had today. Advertised as spicy curry sauce and explained as spicy curry sauce was shocking. No taste or spice at all.

Used Good Catch for years and enjoyed the food. However today it came to my attention that the staff put fish and meat products in the same fryer, and use the same utensils.When we first bought from Good Catch, the shop floor manager reassured me that meat products are cooked in a separate fryer to the chips and fish. Maybe management has changed.Unfortunately they will lose a lot of customers once the word gets out eg Muslim, Jewish, non-meaters etc.
